My two oldest children have been having lessons at A and S Music School in drums and piano, my eldest for over two years. My children love their lessons and are making so much progress. My son is getting an opportunity to play in front of an audience next month and he is super excited. I really recommend this school and think their teachers, Anthony and Mahek, are fantastic!

I have been attending adult singing lessons since before Lockdown, I joined a group which met on Monday evening. After lockdown the group dynamic changed and I opted for one to one lessons. I had Eloise, then Ashlea and now Rochelle. Each tutor I have had have been totally fun to be around and very supportive. Group sessions have been with Spencer, Eloise, Rose and now Rochelle who looks after our musical theatre workshop. It’s great. All the staff at the school are friendly and helpful. It’s an inclusive setting. Ps I never thought I’d be doing singing lessons as an adult but it’s the thing that makes my week. Plus I am doing an exam in the new year.

We love AS Music School! I have weekly lessons with Spencer, and my five-year-old daughter has weekly lessons with Rose. Everyone is so friendly, the standard of teaching is fantastic, and we really appreciate the school's communication and flexibility. Highly recommended!

I couldn't be any happier with this school as it's so flexible and responsive to the needs of adult learners. I asked them to help fix my phobia of singing that I'd been carrying for more than 50 years. They paired me with the most amazing and supportive teacher - Rose - who immediately started boosting my confidence beyond what I thought possible, and within a couple of months I was singing for over 100 people around a campfire! The office guys are great too - very welcoming, and very flexible with the plan they put together for me.

Spencer is an amazing music teacher. He was so patient with my daughter when she started ( aged 5 I think). She was really keen to play the piano but was really shy. He made things fun for her to help her maintain focus and this year supported her in getting her grade 1 piano with distinction. He really understood her and what would keep her motivation. Hugely appreciated.

I strongly recommend A S music school. My daughter is taught piano by Marie and she is a brilliant teacher. She works at a pace right for the child and is so supportive and encouraging. My younger daughter has started learning singing with Ashlee and is doing really well. She gives good feedback so we know what they are working on . The teachers are all enthusiastic and have lots of experience. They use kind supportive methods to encourage learning. The school holds many events which really celebrate all the talents of those attending. Anne of AS is lovely and very supportive and she gets to know the children too. It’s a brilliant music school and I would definately recommend it.

Our 17 year old son has been having guitar lessons for about a year now, and from just picking stuff up off YouTube videos before is now recommended to go for the Grade 5 acoustic exam! Teacher Alex as well as testing and pushing our son, has inspired self-confidence and a depth and quality of playing that is lovely to listen to when he is practicing at home. Our son is so lucky to find someone who can create this rapport to take him on such an exciting learning journey. Looking forward to seeing where it takes him! Brilliant. Thank you!

Our children have been learning at AS Music school for a few years and have got so much from it. They are currently learning piano with Charlotte and love their lessons with her. It’s great to see how much they have developed both their playing ability but also their musical knowledge and confidence. Amazing staff and such a lovely atmosphere.

This is an excellent place to learn to play music. I searched for a long time to find a mandolin teacher and AS Music school provided Alex Bishop who is an outstanding player and an excellent teacher. Lessons are informative and also fun and my playing has developed to much further than I ever thought it would. So thank you to the school and to Alex. Administration and information is also handled very well and the school provides lots of opportunities to play with others and develop your skill.
