I had my breasts done. Only joking. My Dad had surgery to rebuild his eye lid ans surrounding area after cancer was removed. The team were amazing and the results fabulous. He was looked after like royalty. Thank you very much. Your kindness was greatly appreciated.
I recently had a cosmetic procedure at First Trust Hospital and wanted to share a few thoughts. The nursing staff were mostly kind and attentive. They made me feel cared for and were quick to respond when I needed help. The hospital itself was clean and quiet, which helped me feel more relaxed before surgery, however my partner was asked to leave as soon as I was checked in, despite having a private room. There were a few things that didn’t sit right. I was admitted at 12:30 PM but didn’t go into surgery until 6 PM, with very little communication during that time. I also had to shimmy onto a backboard right after the surgery from lying flat, which felt uncomfortable and rushed. I was then rolled from side to side in the bed to change the sheets, which caused some chest discomfort. My partner wasn’t allowed to see me before discharge either. I was told I was a day case but after surgery they said I may need to stop in and there would be a charge. During recovery I was struggling to eat the food provided and was throwing up, the nurses were very responsive when I pressed the button. During to throwing up so much they tried paracetamol through a drip which fell down behind the bed soon as the nurse left the room which almost pulled my cannula out. Overall, the care was good, but the communication and coordination could definitely be improved. If you’re considering First Trust, I’d recommend asking detailed questions about timing, visitor access, and recovery protocols ahead of time.
I came for a breast uplift with implants and I honestly cannot praise the team at first trust enough. If I could give more stars I absolutely would. This was my first ever surgery so I was unsure how things would go but from entering the clinic to leaving everyone was amazing. Alan was my ‘carer’ for the day and I what a guy! Kept me at ease all day. Him and the guys who took me to theatre knew I was nervous and were just fabulous! My surgeon was also amazing. Thank you so much! 100% recommend
I went here for an operation on the 8/6/25, as soon as I walked in the door I was welcomed by a lovely receptionist (who even wrote down postcodes of places my dad could visit whilst I was in theatre), all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. As I am only 22 I was allowed to bring a parent in with me, all the nurses and staff were fantastic and explained things fully to both me and my guardian. Even once in theatre the theatre staff were all very friendly and talked me through the process and made me feel at ease. Shout out to Alan my main nurse, he was very friendly and calmed my nerves just made the experience as a whole a lot better ensured to explain to both me and my dad all the steps and aftercare. The hospital and rooms were also very clean and lovely, I would definitely recommend.
I had my surgery yesterday through Mya but came here for my opp. Staff were absolutely amazing, couldn’t do enough for you, warm and welcoming! This was my first surgery but staff made me feel at ease, with special thanks to Alan who looked after me for making me laugh and taking my mind off it! Thankyou all! X
I would highly recommend First Trust Hospital. I had my surgery 2 weeks ago. All the staff was very welcoming and generally lovely. They were on top of every detail, all times I felt looked after and safe and this really helped me stay calm. Thank you for being amazing!
Had surgery here on 7th August 2019. The staff were absolutely lovely. I arrived abit early and was taken straight down to my room. The health care assistant on duty was very attentive and polite (as were all the other staff). I was constantly asked if myself or my husband needed anything. Didn't wait long for my surgery, woke up feeling great, had something to eat which I picked off a menu earlier that day. Lovely experience here, cannot thank all of the wonderfuk staff enough
I had an operation here on Monday. The place is so cosy and welcoming. The staff here are absolutely amazing. They are all so caring and genuinely lovely and can't do enough for you. I wish I could remember some of the staffs names but I was so groggy and on so many meds i can't remember. One particular lady was my anaesthetists helper. She was such a lovely lady, so quiet and well spoken. She totally helped to put me at ease. So did the anaesthetist, such a lovely guy. Thank you all for looking after me xx
I never normally write reviews on anything, but felt I really needed to share my experience at First Trust Hospital. I cannot praise this place enough my whole experience from start to finish was first class. I had breast enlargement surgery on Monday (22-2-16) and from the very first nurse who showed me to my own private room, meeting the doctor, meeting my anesthetist, seeing my surgeon (dr Bernard stleiter, who is amazing!) to the nurse who brought me back from surgery and looked after me during my stay they where all so attentive! I was very very nervous as I have never had surgery before but they reassured me they had the best team and made me feel so relaxed. Really I could not have been in a better place for my surgery. I was only a day case but I would have been happy if they told me I had to stay over night. Such a wonderful experience. Thank you so much to everyone at First Trust Preston. Lauren xxxx
