Reception staff usually pleasant and helpful. My doctor is very approachable and caring. I can ask him any question and he always takes the time to explain fully.

Considering how things are with the NHS and GP services these days. The Medi Centre provide a great service, very happy to have a GP that I can get an appointment when needed. Staff are always very helpful. I’ve never a had a Dr I would say “My Dr” since having an appointment with Dr Mir I felt like I was in great hands and would hope for him to by my Dr going forward.

I am very happy with the Medicentre in Ashton in Wakefield. The Reception Staff are always friendly and helpful. I always see the same Doctor Mir who is sympathetic and a good Doctor. Nurse Dawn is very knowledgeable and helpful so I know how lucky I am to have The Medicentre

Whenever i have contacted the medicentre i have been extremely satisfied with the receptionists. They are not only professional, they are always helpful with any type of request and are always empathetic when handling my queries. I have alot of health problems and all the staff have dealt with my enqueries quickly. Everyone has helped me and they are always polite and caring. They provide a first class service and i am grateful to them all, my health would be alot worse without them all.

The reception team, nurses and GP's are always supportive. The appointment booking process is great. I hear horror stories of how others are run so we are very appreciative of Ashton Medicentre. Thank you to all the team

Worst doctors in Ashton! Have to ring 60+ times to get through to anyone then when you do there’s never any appointments. Reception staff rude and unhelpful.

Like many surgeries post-covid (Well, as "Post" as we're going to get) they are struggling along with what seems to be semi-stringent anti contagion protocols. Protocols that seem to antagonise patients like continued mask wearing and a proclivity for tele-consults rather than face to face appointments. All that said, whether they agree with the protocols or not the ladies that run reception do a fine job. They cope with the antagonised patients well and keep a smile on their face when dealing with everyone else. I've seen them have to endure some really bad behaviour from patients. Behaviour that they should not have to experience.

Agree with the below reviews. Was told in order to get an appointment for my Dad who had a chronic infection and needed further antibiotics to make an appointment on the Ask my GP app. All afternoon the app wasn’t open. I go in person to the desk and ask to make an appointment. Again I get referred back to the Ask my GP app. I said it’s been offline most of the day and won’t let me make an app. They said I could make an appointment at 6AM the next morning when it comes back online, in which case I said, and what if I’m not up at 6AM? The following day, at 11AM I checked the app to make an appointment and the app was down again. Absolutely useless. The surgery has gone massively downhill in the last few years, in particular since the start of the pandemic and also when moving to the new healthcare centre. The receptionists and admin staff need ten reminders to make a referral and you need to ask umpteen times to get results of a blood test, even when the results have come back as abnormal. It’s like the ultimate aim of all staff is who can do the least work and get away with it. Hint: It’s very obvious and and the reminders in capitals asking the public not to make any kind of negative comment about the staff or to the staff merely just signals how many complaints they are receiving. We’re entitled to our freedom of speech and to complain when you’re clearly being negligent and not taking proper care of your patients.

I am.in extremely pain and went in clinic at 8am they given me phone consultation not face to face appointment which I needed that to be examine. Doctor called Me at 11am and listen to me for 2 min and was not willing to examine me on the day. What is going on??? Even doctors are not in the clinic and they are just handling everyone on the phone. Why can't reception give us face to face appointment I also explained her my situation but thats not fair How can they solve all the problems on the phone How can they become full at 11am and they can't see me ? Even doctors are not listening you as well. It used to be a helpful surgery but now the service is extremely disappointing and even though staff don't attend the phones.
