I've been on a weekly script until last week when I went fortnightly to help care for my sick mother only to find that my prescription has been halved. I queried this and was told it was correct????? Now I have to see a doctor to sort ti's out, adding more stress to a stressful time. It's shocking how bad this place has become

Lost what little faith I had left with this awful practice and Doctor Goswami. I went to see the doctor on Monday (for the 3rd time in 3 months) to say my pains in my upper abdominal area are getting worse and more frequent. I also started having white stools and very dark urine both he dismissed as normal very quickly, he was not interested in what I had to say and after a quick touch on my stomach he said all is normal and to take more of my acid reflux medication. The following morning I was rushed to the countess of chester with severe abdominal pain again and after a proper examination and tests I was advised I have severe acute pancreatis and suspected gallstones. Following being admitted to the surgical ward I did have gallstones which was blocking my bile duct and I was turning yellow and that was the reason why my urine was dark and my stools were white. Luckily after surgery and a week in the countess I have had the stones removed and the pancreatis treated but unfortunately will be getting my gallbladder removed at a later date. I really don't know how a qualified doctor can get it so wrong and be so dismissive during our consultation just saying it's my acid reflux.

My dad, age 62, has been very ill and he went there in October 2024 for help/ treatment for them to put in his head that he might have cancer and needs to have different types of tests to determine this - fast forward to January 2025 and he still doesn’t have a diagnosis. I’m completely DISGUSTED. They shouldn’t be allowed to run this practice. I feel blessed that I moved away a few years ago and never have to return. Absolutely devastated that my dad was treated this way. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

I have been a patient here for nearly 34 years . At first I could never complain as the service was excellent. Over the years this deteriorated and for the last 5-6 years have not been good. For many reasons I was looking at changing but to be fair according to reviews no surgery in the Port jumped out as really good. I stayed here. However over the last 9 months I cannot fault them. Dr Hutchinson is a fantastic GP and I’m not too sure if there has been a change in receptionists but I can’t fault them either ( this is a big change). I’ve just got off the phone and I cannot fault the lovely receptionist at all. She was caring, professional and made me feel listened too. I will give anyone a second chance and if the service carries on line it is now I think it will be a great surgery to be part off.

I would just like to say that I have always had such a positive experience when booking appointments and having consultations either on the phone or face to face with the nurses and doctors. I would personally like to thank Dr Hayley Sanna at the practice for being so patient and understanding throughout the past few months. She is the most understanding GP I have every come across and literally talks you through every option and plans ahead. She is a breath of fresh air and always goes the extra mile. I couldn't recommend her enough.

Go anywhere else near ellesmere port. The receptionists are actively unhelpful and rude and its impossible to book an appointment

I would not give any stars if that was an option!! Never get to see a Doctor, Receptionists that have a personality of a damp cloth think they are doctors by asking you what's wrong and going through a robotic checklist before them asking you sure it's not COVID?!

Since having surgery recently the doctors have been faultless as the reception staff as well. I have been with the surgery all my life starting with the doctor before Drs Phipps, birch and Shaw. When home on leave I had surgery and Dr Phipps came to my mum's house to see me and how I was and in later years I've had 3 operations they have been faultless.

Awful surgery, receptionists so no empathy towards you, when you are clearly unwell. Absolutely unhelpful. Never get to see a doctor. Doctors themselves are good if you are fortunate to be able to communicate with them.
