   It does the job. Very noisy with the main road. Used to be able to request the quest rooms 36,37,38,39 but now there is an extra charge. Rooms are ok but a little tired and in need of a revamp. The decision to replace plug sockets with usb sockets is a good idea but at least check they are working as it's annoying when there are only 2 sockets available.

   For the price, it was excellent. My only slight gripe is using a bath cum shower. A bit slippy if not careful in it. Same as the smooth toilet floor. The adjacent Asda fuel station has a mini shop for snacks. Next to the busy A580 albeit it was quiet enough in the evening.

   Hotel has apparently been updated but still feels very worn. We were on the ground floor in an end room so it was probably quieter than most but could still hear every movement from upstairs and the TV next door. Shower was incredibly loud, literally sounded like a pneumatic drill so not a comfortable experience. Pillows were like rocks but thankfully the mattress was comfortable. Barely any plug sockets in the room, most are USB/C and a bedside one didn’t work. Beware - TV powers on at a stupidly loud volume no matter what volume you turned it off at…great when you first wake up. It serves a purpose but could be so much better.

   Me and my family Stayed here for 3 nights while attending a family wedding. Had a lovely welcome at the front desk from Simon who was very helpful to us throughout our stay. We had 2 family rooms, both rooms were clean and we had a very nice comfortable stay. I would recommend this hotel. Thank you so much team at Travelodge Haydock St Helens.

   Didn't even stay lady on reception was the only nice thing about the place after checking in goin along a smelly corridor to our room once in was hit but another smell that stung the nose haven a look round room and loo the grab rails where dirty hairs on shower pipe and plug hole dirty shower walls poo stains toilet seat and system carpet needed a good vacuum corners included in this too requested accessible room grab rails over a bath is not helpful torn bed covers no remote for tv when requested got one that wasn't suitable for the tv 1 towel for two guests got a well used with holes fresh from reception

   Lovely welcome from the staff member at the desk. Corridors smelled of tobacco smoke. The room smelt musty when we entered but looked clean. The carpet was soaking wet by the entrance of the bathroom and there was mould on the skirting in that area. Brought the musty smell and the wetness to the member of staff attention but we were given the excuse that they had been cleaning the carpets. After spending the night in the room with the unpleasant smell and trying to jump a metre to avoid the wet patch into the bathroom we mentioned it again to a new member of staff. They were saddened to hear we had not been offered the opportunity to move rooms and the excuse we had been given. They promised to put in a complaint on our behalf, taking revolent information from us and apologised several times. They were fantastic, our complaint has been dealt with within a few days and were satisfied with the outcome.

   Blocked and stinking waste drain on basin and bath, dirty carpets and bath. General lack of cleanliness. However, these things could all be remedied. Lovely, quiet room and very kind, welcoming staff.

   Stay was good but not great. We have stayed here before and it is a good stop off but this time they had some issues, they warned us on arrival but not beforehand so we couldn't change our minds. No cold water.....and the hot water was too hot to even wash your hands in. Very noisy people above us.....banging around throughout the night. We used it as a stop off and it was good but on this occasion not a great or excellent experience. For £75 could have had a different experience.
