We found the hotel via google while looking for a night in a hotel to break up our journey to Scotland and I am so glad we did. It's a little treasure. We stayed in a quite eccentric room, the Presidential Suite - with a couple of chaise-longues, twin, free-standing copper baths in the bedroom and a balcony. Which locked by using the 19Century wooden shutters. The staff were really friendly and the food was great. I thought the Cod special I had was superb and really good value. Highly recommended.

Recently had my wedding here. And I can not praise the team at Rainhill Hall enough. Leonie… you are an angel. Leonie deals with weddings and events and the level or service and genuine care she shows is out of this world. I was massively let down on the morning of my wedding by the people who were meant to be doing my decor and Leonie stepped in and made it work. She has lots of help from all of her colleagues - mainly a girl whose name began with C and unfortunately now I can’t remember. But they were amazing and I can’t thank them enough. The food, the DJ, the whole organisation - it was flawless and I would recommend this beautiful venue to anybody who is looking to have a wedding. You will have a great time and be steered down the right path by genuine good people. They are humble all the way and see it as just doing their job, but on one of the biggest days of your life, them doing their job is can be a miracle. Thank you all again, you did a sensational job.

Beautiful from the outside. Some staff are nice others are arrogant and rude. Messed up our room, travel lodge is better. Rooms are worth no more than £35/40 a night let alone £100 a night. Never again.

Great venue for our friends wedding! Good selection of drinks and the bars, room was a lovely setting with the flower wall! Other spaces for the drinks reception and food was great too! Nice outdoor area too, spacious areas to hang out in.

The welcome here was friendly and the service was good throughout. Our room was a nice big room but it was a bit tired and worn and the chairs around the dining table were really badly stained. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss. My husband had a nice fry up but the poached eggs my friend and I had were all cooked to different degrees with one or two being hard boiled which was disappointing. The sauce on my eggs royal was thick and not unlike unsweetened custard but the salmon was plentiful and tasty.

We booked for New Year's Eve dinner, we were not overnight guests. We had a lovely time and everyone was so kind to us. The kids had a selection box and we enjoyed having crackers on the table. The food was delicious, beetroot platter for starter followed by an amazing duck dish and then a trio of chocolate. What's not to love!!! The 10 year old in our party ordered a cheeseburger from the kids menu and it was gorgeous, homemade and well-seasoned. We will go back and eat, beautiful surroundings and great atmosphere.

Booked ourselves in for the New Year meal but didn't stay. The food was brilliant! Set menu and delicious courses. The kids menu was great and portion sizes were generous. Nice and chilled out and all of the staff were incredibly helpful, we will definitely be back.

Came with my friends this afternoon very reasonably priced. Great service and lovely atmosphere. The relaxation room was so lovely. Treatment was excellent and a special thanks to Adele for looking after me with my allergies, she took the time to check every product before using it, made things really easy and put my mind at rest very quickly! Can’t recommend enough! Thanks again will definitely be returning ! X

Location was spot on for us, our room was massive could have had 5 people sleep in that room easily. Hotel was clean and smelled nice. The bed not too bad and pillows are comfy. Shower cubicle is quite open and had a lot of water come out. Overall had a lovely time, only stayed overnight.

We had a ladies spa weekend at this beautiful hotel. We stayed in one of the double rooms in the main building which was spacious and bed was very comfortable. The only issue with the room is there isn't a shower curtain so water splashes over the bathtub and soaks the floor. The spa and massage rooms are lush! The staff were very professional and I had an amazing hot stone massage followed by a facial which was soo soothing and relaxing. Olivia did my treatment and she was fantastic! I would recommend this hotel and spa.
