We loved the newly decorated room style with the table and chairs instead of the sofa bed. The team were very friendly and helpful as is usual and the cleanliness and levels of maintenance were top notch as usual too. Location is great as it's just a 10 minute drive from Chester Zoo and a very short drive to the park and ride into Chester, which is only £2.50 per adult for a return ticket. The breakfast and evening meals are in the hotel now and pre booking at reception is essential. They've closed the adjacent pub, so if you're not as organised as you'd like to be regarding evening meals then do try The Cheshire Cat just 5 minutes drive away.

Nice place. Just bring your own coffee maker because the coffee machine at breakfast doesn’t work. And bring your own butter because they’ve run out. And bring your own shower too because the water pressure is non existent. And bring earplugs so you can sleep through the construction work in the room next door. In fact maybe just stay at home

Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, though we were not offered the choice of continental, don't forget it is available. I wish PremInn would replace some baths with walk-in showers, much safer and better to use.

This was our 3rd time of staying and we had no faults with the standard of the room or the treatment from the staff . Both were great . However, when we tried to leave the car park, which has only one way in/out 4 hgv had turned up to unload some shipping containers. They had completely blocked the exit . This was at 0915 just before check out . After the 1st hgv had unloaded we were told it would be another hour before we could leave. There was no prior warning anywhere about this, nothing was said whilst checking in or at breakfast. After getting slightly irate at this point the man in charge finally came over and decided it was probably best that he let everyone out.

When I arrived, the car park was almost completely full of large work vans (lots of people staying are tradesmen) The hotel was pretty shabby and hotter than the centre of the earth....it had been a hot day, but there is no air con, and the room was unbearable. Receptionist was friendly and welcoming. Room was generally clean and comfy and it was pretty quiet. Close to Sainsbury's.

Good location, supermarket opposite and bus stops outside with bus into city every half hour or so. Car park not quite big enough for a busy night. Building looks new but feels older inside with squeaky floorboards everywhere, creaking doors and dated rooms. Bathroom of the usual poor design and was a bit scruffy and worn out in places but very clean as always. Friendly staff always on hand willing to help with any issues. Stayed twice, happy to go back for the right price.

Looking at reviews the hotel side has good ratings and the eating side so so. My experience was obviously down to the room which in my case was 35. As soon as you enter the room a horrible smell of Damp mould hits you, the room was tired and at the end of its life needed a lot of TLC. The bed as you would expect was good, the 3 young receptionist's were 10 out of 10 very cheerful, helpful and welcoming., The shower wasn't good at all, stuck in position. Christmas day the breakfast was cooked to order and was 10 out of 10, however boxing Day there must have been more people so it was buffet. Obviously energy cut's because the food was tepid at best and by the time you sat down it was cold so 1 out of 10. I used to always book into premier Inn first but now I would try elsewhere first and the price was more expensive. So for me personally I was very disappointed even down to purchasing bottle of water from machine at nearly £3 would have been ok if it was nice and cold but it was tepid so obviously the thermostat must be set to save energy not chill the drinks

Stayed 3 nights whilst visiting Chester. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful. Very cold one night and our heating wasn't working so spent a cold night huddled under 2 duvets. Reported the fault to reception in the morning but they didn't seem interested. There is a reasonable Brewers Fayre next door so handy for food/drink.

Not the best one in Chester. But it is a personal rate. Some staff guys are so professional and nice, so helpful. The day after you almost want to leave. It is so far from the town center. For my colleague who used to go next door for their meal it is a disaster. Always full. Long time to wait to being served.

Lovely premier inn Greeted with a smile by staff and immediately felt at home and part of the family. Rooms were clean and tidy . Premier inn is in great location , not far from. Chester Town centre, or Cheshire oaks designer village. Bus stop right outside premier inn takes you into chester if you don't drive. Lovely food and breakfast next door in the brewers fayre pub. Def worth a visit
