Room was OK and reception staff friendly, but restaurant staff training and knowledge and assistance with food allergies was shocking. The fact that there is no breakfast QR code for allergies or an allergen menu when I asked for one, is shocking in this day and age, especially a 4(?)* hotel. When directed to the chef by a staff member who didn't know anything about allergens on the menu apart from GF, he seemed knackered and less forward in helping, eventually reheating items i wanted, but separately, forgetting one of the items requested. Leonardo hotels and this hotel must do better.

We have always enjoyed our stays at the Leonardo Chester. However this last visit we had a very noisy room, you heard every shower and sink being run and toilet flush from other rooms. For the first time at this hotel we had a noisy and disturbed nights sleep and would definitely avoid room 103. As a side issue the quality of the breakfast was not up to normal standard with a lack of fresh fruit and other items.

The room was modern and nice, we chose this hotel specifically for the smart tv and breakfast rates, overall it was amazing value for money. Breakfast was delicious with good quality jams and teas, and essential. And the room and bathroom were very big, although our one complaint is that the room felt very stuffy and it was difficult to get any fresh air, even with the air conditioning. Overall, it was fantastic value for money, breakfast was delicious and the location was perfect, especially with parking right behind the hotel and access to the mall next to the hotel also.

We have stayed at Leonardo hotels previously. This like the others was clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. We had breakfast here, good choice and some items good be ordered ie poached or scrambled eggs and vegan sausage. Also oatmeal to order There was gf cereals and bread, with a separate toaster and plant based milks. Our room was very large,it is probably available for wheelchair users, but it was a bath with shower over, so that could be difficult.

Overall vey enjoyable stay. Receptionist (Amelia) was fantastic throughout and was very accommodating regarding a requested room change. The weather on our second night was very bad with heavy rain throughout the entire day. It was difficult to relax in the restaurant/bar area as it was very cold with the air conditioning seemingly left on for some unknown reason and this made returning to the hotel after meals out not the most welcoming experience if you wanted to relax with a nightcap. Other than that, staff were very pleasant , the hotel was well kept and facilities generally pretty good. Overall would definitely stay there again

Second time staying here. We booked a last minute stay on Secret Escapes. Great location for exploring Chester with car parks nearby. The only downside from our recent visit was that there was some evidence of room not being cleaned very well as there was dirty items on our tea tray and on our package we were supposed to get Prosecco but was only offered white wine. Great choice at breakfast and comfortable rooms.

Clean, basic room which we didn’t mind as just wanted to put our heads down - however right next to a nightclub which was open and loud until gone 2am. Paid Β£190 to stay as it was new years which was expected, then another Β£14 for parking (which we had to trek up and down the multi-storey as the lifts weren’t on.) Breakfast did offer gluten free but was given the bread to toast myself (which can cause contamination in the toaster) chef, restaurant staff etc were all very nice and polite however no one to be seen in reception on check out to raise these issues with. In a nightlife area with lots of chavvy nightclubs and restaurants which obviously isn’t their fault but not the most pleasant of people around.

We stayed here for one night and had a good stay. Staff were absolutely wonderful - friendly and helpful throughout. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spacious. Reasons for docking stars are because the pillow cases were stained and marked; the TV and Chromecast in our room also didn’t work and couldn’t be fixed during our stay. Otherwise a good stay!

Looks dated from outside when you first arrive. But inside the rooms are really nice and the breakfast was spot on. Would stay here again. There is parking just across from the hotel but that’s about Β£20 for 24hours

Stayed one night this week on a secret escapes voucher. On arrival the lady on the front desk was so lovely and helpful. We had included in the deal a bottle of prosecco this was brought up to our room immediately. The superior room was big large comfortable beds. The hotel is perfectly situated in Chester close to all amenities. The breakfast was really good lots of choice and SF service. The evening meal was a limited menu this was a bit disappointing as some things were also not available I paid extra for the steak and asked for some mayonnaise but they did not have any. Parking in Pepper Street was Β£20 overnight so be careful where you park. We had a lovely time thank you .
