Terrible service (phone calls rarely answered, emails are simply ignored) and rude, unhelpful staff. My sister and I went for ID biometrics and were turned away because of lack of some documents (which we knew about and tried in vain to explain before our appointment, but were told to 'refer to the website' which DID not explain what to do about a lost parental passport from 1974). At the appointment, we were told to get an affidavit, which we did and returned the next week and then were asked to get something else! Eventually, the guy relented and asked me to report that my old passport was lost and get it certified from a UK website! Why couldn't he do this at the 1st visit (and save me Β£150 on an affidavit and Β£30 travel). Then, the application isn't sent for 6+ weeks to Kenya, where overseas applications are NOT a priority. I finally managed to get my ID when I came to Kenya (for a fee, of course). The whole process took 9 months! My sister's application was tampered with by the LHC staff (tippexed out her married surname as it didn't match her birth certificate name-which meant the application was rejected). Again, I had to grease some palms here in Kenya to get her ID done! What a joke. Oh, once the ID is printed in Nairobi, it takes almost 2 months to be sent to your home in the UK. Shockingly bad.

I went to apply for a replacement for my lost passport, and the staff were extremely helpful and professional. The lady receptionist was welcoming and courteous, and the gentleman who took my photo was efficient and friendly. The gentleman at the front office was especially outstanding β€” soft-spoken, very patient, and extremely helpful throughout the entire process. He made what could have been a stressful experience smooth and easy. Excellent customer service overall.

Please be aware that this page is not from the official government website of the Embassy of Kenya. This is an agency in disguise. My friend and I are going to Kenya soon, and both applied for our visas. She did it on a different website, and she was charge $30 for her visa of one Month. I applied for me and my daughter for the same exact visa on this site, and they charged each of us, my daughter and I Β£83 which some up to Β£167. When I contacted them to find out, they then revealed that they were an agency. They are thieves. Because careful. Go to uk government and apply from them.

Very bad experience. Lady firstly arrived late to my scheduled appointment (I was waiting for her) asked me to present documents not included in the list of required documentation sent prior. When I pointed out that these documents she requested were not included, she said it’s okay - and that I should make a phone call to someone at home to send me a picture of the documentation and had the expectation I would stand outside in the rain to chase a document that was not included in the list highlighted on the website and in the confirmation email. You should include the FULL list of documentation which should be the same standard for EVERYONE doing passport renewal and not mention additional documentation that you’re not asking others for.

I thought that the Kenya government would change the COVID 19 travel restrictions.most countries in the world have removed COVID 19 travel restrictions and l was scared of traveling to Kenya for fear of being asked to get a COVID test which they do by inserting a stick in your nose .l realised that there are other countries who are not asking for COVID 19 testing and l travelled there and am just waiting for the Kenya government to remove all COVID 19 travel restrictions so that me and many others are able to travel to Kenya again

Greatest service ever!!! I had to apply for an e-passport and also change of particulars. I had to apply online and was very confused and I was almost giving up with the whole process until I spoke to Emmy who patiently explained everything in detail, reassuring me that I was doing well and she never got tired of my endless questions. Emmy is a star!! The biometrics appointment is easy to get and I was in and out in 10 minutes and was served by William who was professional ,jovial and very friendly. These are the things which make me proud to be a Kenyan!! Asanteni sana my fellow Kenyans at the Kenya High Commission

Extremely helpful staff once you are there in person. Special mention for Mr Sigei who was very assuring and efficient. One star taken away as extra copies requested (in addition to the number requested on website) for various documents which meant going out to copy. Take extra copies! Overall very satisfied.
