I booked this hotel to stay whilst we were in Liverpool for the weekend to celebrate my 25th Wedding anniversary AND what a shock was about to unfold, we had to pay a £50 deposit which has not still been returned prior to being given our room, we were given a room that was dirty and damp, I went back to to reception and complained, the person on reception was not helpful but did give us another room but this was just as bad I again spoke to reception but would not do anything about it or refund me to find another hotel. They tried to say that it was wear and tear but as you can see by the photos it was not even cleaned properly.

I got to stay on the top floor. The room initally felt cold, but soon heated up and was very cozy. Everything was very clean! There are a lot of restaurants in 5 minute distance walking, which is great if you are to tired to drive for a late dinner. There is a lot of parking space within the hotel area and also in the street in front. The staff were 5⭐, super caring and available to help! The breakfast has a lot of variety, including decaff coffe, which usually is never available. I had a great experience and I will surely return here!

So, The Beech Mount Hotel is the kind of establishment where you must provide photographic identification at reception. Had we read the email they sent us shortly after booking we would have cancelled immediately. The street outside is filthy, with a variety of character that appear to do nothing aside from walk up and down outside going to score. You wouldn't park your car there without putting the wheel lock on. That said, the lady on reception was very warm, polite, patient, welcoming and professional. She gave clear instructions and advised us to take a picture of WiFi pass codes etc and pointed out fire assembly points. The room was warm, the sheets were clean and the bathroom was spotless. The sofa and footstool in the room was filthy, full of stains and collapsed in the middle, it should have been sent to the tip a long time ago, it was disgusting. We didnt even sit on it, it was so dirty. The curtains had mold on them and didn't close fully and block out the sunlight. The continental breakfast was poor. All of the juice provided was cheap: Sunpride, along with aneamic, reformed turkey and ham, with a small bowl of feta cheese cubed, red Leicester sliced from a block and unidentifiable yellow cheese, sweaty salami and tinned fruit. The pastries were limp and greasy. The bread used for toast was the cheapest supermarket own brand (yellow label ASDA) and came with horrible sunflower spread. Jams, chocolate spreads etc, sat on a shelf, large open jars with a spoon shoved inside for you to help yourself. Coffee vending machine, some options were unavailable, for example, no cappuccino, no hot chocolate. Every available corner they could cut, they have. We have stayed at The Beech Mount a number of years ago and it was a lovely little oasis, on a rough street in Kensington. it is now entirely in keeping with its surroundings, tired, dirty and in need of regeneration. I would not return and I would not recommend.

Where to start… WHAT A HOTEL!!! We arrived at the Beech Mount Hotel for our trip down to Liverpool and were very impressed. The staff were nice and location is great. The room was luxurious and there were plenty of mirrors to check yourself out around the hotel. The breakfast was the real star of the show however, the perfect start to the day. Would recommend!

The hotel looks nice and the receptionist was really friendly. The room was clean and cozy. However, the mattress was really bouncy which I think was cause of its low-quality material. The bathroom is really small, the heaters weren’t working constantly, which I think they were controlled automatically. The breakfast was TERRIBLE. There were only fruit cocktails, yogurt, jam, pre-packed breads and low quality hot coffee maker! There was another surprising thing about this hotel which was 50 pounds deposit, which I don’t understand the reason, despite their explanation. I only realized there is such rule, when I paid for the booking.

The rooms and clean with comfy beds. The staff are friendly and helpful, however the breakfast was quite honestly, terrible.

I was very disappointed going here. Tracy the receptionist could not hide the fact that she was racist. She came up with all sorts of non existent polices even 3-5 stars rated hotels wouldn’t ask for. She was unnecessarily difficult and refused to give us a room. Tom saved the day. The heater did not work and the manual heater brought into the room worked for only few minutes and all attempts to get someone to replace it didn’t work. At 7.30am breakfast wasn’t ready because the supposed cook was yet to resume for work! May I add that the website and other booking sites said £50/night but we were told £60 until we called them out on this. Would definitely not be recommending this place to anyone!

Room was basic but clean and had everything we needed for a night. Breakfast very basic, not a lot of choice. Wouldn't want to stay there for more than a night though, walls were very thin and could hear everything going on in the hotel including person in room next to us having a wee! Also had drunk couple have a raging argument in middle of the night for hours. Not hotels fault but they didn't seem to do anything about the noise/disruption. Did not sleep well that night!

The room was not cleaned properly, no vacuuming. The rug and floor were dusty and dirty. I have found hair on the toilet floor too. The closet door was loose and nearly fell on my foot. The toilet sink is so small you can't even lean on it and the glass shelf is on your way.... The internet is too slow and the signal in the room was poor unless you would get close to the entrance door. Shower water pressure was very low, too low... I have advised the reception which took care of the closet doors and they tried to clean the floor with a vacuum cleaner that was stuffed l of dirt and left most of the dirt on the ground. The only positive side has been the receptionist from Gran Canaria (my apologies for not remembering her name) which was the only one being proactive trying to vacuum, but with a toy vacuum, and fixing the closet doors.

We stayed 1 night, and the room on the top floor was clean and comfortable. Excellent staff, particularly Virginia who greeted us on reception and was very friendly and helpful. A continental breakfast was provided in the morning which was great, even with the coffee machine being a bit temperamental! Free parking in front (if you arrive early enough) and more on the road outside. (No restrictions at time of writing). Would recommend, and certainly stay again. Thanks.
