Staff extremely rude, and refused entry for a room I'd paid for. Also refused to refund the paid for service that wasn't given. Was informed by someone else outside the same had happened to them.

Great location for the city center on a budget. It is under a nightclub and you can hear everything until very early hours. Was nice and tidy and there is one man on the check in who was helpful and friendly but I had to wait about 15 minutes before he appeared. Room was clean, shower was good free tea and coffee Couple of minutes walk to the city centre .

Room was in the basement so no window but we were aware of this when booking. It was very warm but a fan was provided. There was a light above the door which lit up the room at all times so it was hard to get to sleep. It was also very loud, lots of people walking past the room and people in the room above were making so much noise at 4am that I had to go and complain to reception (they did sort this out immediately). I stayed for 2 nights and we were woken up multiple times during both nights. Room wasn't as clean as I hoped, the floor was dirty and had bits all over it. The location is great, only a 5 minute walk to the centre and there are loads of pubs and restaurants just next door.

Stayed at the Cocoon this weekend, we were really happy when we arrived as the actual room was very good, clean and a decent sized space and the reception staff were so lovely and accommodating. The downside and reason that stops us from staying here again was it was it was unfortunately extremely noisy during the night. We stayed in room 231 and not sure if we just got unlucky with this room but there was music and dancing going on above us till late and there was a door near our room literally getting slammed at all hours of the night. Any time we managed to fall asleep this door would slam again and startle us back awake, I have read on other reviews that this seems to be an issue with this hotel. It also wasn't helped that the shower went off in the middle of the night and the TV must have had an alarm set on it as it turned on and started blasting the Simpsons at 8am. We got maybe 1-2 hours sleep if that. I think little things such as door softeners could be useful here and signage to remind people in hallways not to shout and run around in the middle of the night. Would be tempted to stay again due to the staff being so lovely and the room being very decent but we'd be 100% be bringing ear plugs next time!

My stay at Cacoon International Hotel Liverpool was a pleasent one. I had a lovely clean room and everything working order. A large double bed all to oneself enjoyed comfortable. Plenty areas in room to lay luggage and hang up clothes as free hangers where provided. Only slight thing, no snacks only drinks in room provided. Were Helpful staff at reception too. Couldn't here other rooms well insulated. A grand couple of days located close to many attractions bars restaurants with the price recommend anyone to stay. I would again as inspired to comeback see more of lovely Liverpool.

Very bad experience. I had a room in 25 February 2023, and when I got the key, they asked me to give them the card details for room insurance. I handed them ( a young lady) the card, for details, and shy taps details on laptop, then she check the back of the card for CVC, which is illegal. I react, I told her that’s illegal, I was extremely worried. The manager intervened, he told me that’s company policy. And when I asked him to show me that written he told me “if you don’t like it, you are free to go(home)” Was the worst moment in my entire life. I was so humiliated. That was a horrible experience.

What a shitty hotel. Rooms not dusted, youth center with children who have been sniffed, toilet handle to pull through you remove from the wall, sink that is torn, air conditioning that cannot be turned off is pacing here, bed on wheels turn once and you are on the other side of the room, TV for decoration on the wall does not work, door that has been broken with several holes, the outside door cannot be locked from the inside, so anyone can walk in, the toilet pump has fallen off the wall after using it once, you enter at the reception and then walk through an underground bunker to your room, no light nothing, LED lamp where you have to wear welding glasses to see in the room. Not recommended.
