Not a hotel, don't expect anything good. You will pay hotel prices so that: You do self checking, zero staff insight, no room cleaning or towel change, and worst of all you will have constant music blasting during the night from surrounding clubs, at 5am they are still going. Zero soundproofing but they give you ear plugs which are a joke. Toilet paper within your own room is enclosed in a plastic enclosure so goodluck that there is enough and that it will not break within. Avoid at all costs

What an awesome hostel. Right near the cavern club so it’s in a fun zone with plenty of bars right on its doorstep and yet when you are in the rooms, it’s very quiet. Very clean, modern and practical. I absolutely loved my stay here and I would definitely come back. I had a coffee before leaving, price was great and the coffee was mint!!

I booked in an all female bed space. The room and toilet is clean though the room was warm but it was okay. It was near the shopping centre, restaurant/ fast food, and around it was different pub where you can party all night. It was great place and great value for money. The staff are very nice and accommodating.

You get what you pay for my fellow travellers. I knew in advance that the nights will be noisy since the hostel is right in the party street. So apart from that, the hostel was clean, check in without any problems and the staff always friendly. Only downside is the heat, I was staying in a four bed dorm, the teperature outside was fresh but since there was no AC (only a little fan) in it the room, it was way too hot.

Great place to stay in a centric area of Liverpool. The rooms were very clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the staff was always kind and helpful. Towels are available if rented and they provide shampoo and soap. All of the people with whom I shared a bedroom were respectful of others and kept things quiet. Matthew's St bars are right next door and they have 24/7 staff available to help you access the building if needed. The docks, and theaters, and Bold St are all within walking distance to this hostel.

I stayed over on New Years Eve. It was pretty dreadful . there was nothing happening for the occasion, no music or events organised. the dorm room next to the lifts on floor one was stifling with minimal ventilation. Also what was the point of the green light that was on the whole time? I thought it might be better in the morning but unfortunately breakfast just continued the awfulness. please note that continental breakfast should include some cheese meats, along with preserves and fresh pastry, not two day old ones. the one star is for the staff, who were quite helpful when they were around.

Bad hostel, we stayed luckily one night. We checked in around 10 pm, got into the old room which was dirty and crowded, no ventilation. Bathroom was disgusting and small. No amenities, just one bar that charges you everything, neither a free coffee offers. At 10 pm, bar closes and if you need to stay in common aerea to wait for a train, they closes bathrooms too!!! How are they going to shut the bath out!!! No kitchen neither! Won’t come back.

Amazing Staff, rooms very clean, beds with 3 plugs and light. I stayed in a room of 6 and we had one bathroom, one shower, and an extra bathroom/ shower for people with disabilities. I left my backpack there so I can visit the city peacefully and it was safely held in their locker room. For 20Β£ the night this is amazing. I’m so happy with the hostel that now I’m off to their Manchester branch!

Amazing staff. Lift available. No communal kitchen available so you can't cook for yourself. If requiring a kitchen would recommend YHA Albert Docks instead (gave that 5/5) If booking a taxi, ask them to meet you on Stanley Street. Comfortable beds and bedding. Can get cold so bring hot water bottle/buy heat pads from Β£land or boots. Bring a water bottle.

It's a YHA so you can expect a good standard of cleanliness and fairly comfortable beds, with a duvet, pillow, and bottom sheet supplied. The staff are very friendly and quite helpful. I didn't need anything beyond checking in and out, but the vibe was good. The location is convenient for central Liverpool. A caveat and a big one is that it is in the middle of a major clubbing area. The windows are not soundproof, so if you struggle to sleep with music or clubbing noises, this is not the place for you (unless you go on a day when the clubs are not open). The room was BOILING HOT and at one point I woke up and had to go out for fresh air it was almost like being in a (very dry) sauna. The shower and bathroom area were clean and worked well enough (though no soap supplied in the shower). However, the light is automatic, so if your bed is by the bathroom you will get the light shining on your face no matter what. Also as they do say, towels not supplied but are rentable or you can bring your own. The bed had two power outlets, a USB outlet, a light, and a shelf. Helpfully, there's also a screen along the bed by where the pillow is so you get a bit of privacy. For one night and at an affordable cost I would recommend, but if you struggle with noise or heat I'd recommend looking for somewhere in a different area (I believe there's another YHA in another part of central Liverpool).
