We attended a Christmas festive event, this was out 2nd year. Absolutely outstanding venue, beautifully decorated, staff extremely attentative, polite and helpful. The food was wonderful, everyone on our table commented on the excellent quality and flavours, piping hot too. A wonderful evening. Highly recommend Thornton manor.

We was invited to an event at the main building, so decided to book one of the cottages to stay over We arrived at the event right last minute, and was dark , so we never would have found our cottage in time , lucky the host of the manor Philip was around who took our stress away , he helped us to park up, and said they would escort us to the cottage after the event . The building was stunning and enjoyed a great evening there , and as promised after the hostess Diane was waiting for us and took us to an upgraded cottage , It was the thatched roof one set in beautiful countryside, this cottage was huge 3 bedrooms , bathrooms , sitting area and patio with a hot tub outside it was picturesque with great views of the manor and countryside I’d love to return in summer to enjoy such beauty and enjoy the amenities to the full, we was advised that it’s dog friendly also which was a bonus

The gardener's annex was cosy and homely with self check in service, the surrounding area is lovely and couldn't recommend a walk around the garden enough. For the price it's a lovely weekend out for a countryside walk or events nearby.

Me and my partner got married in Thornton Manor and the day was perfect. The staff were amazing, they were so helpful while we planned the wedding and couldn't have done more on the actual day. The location was fine but a little far from public transport which meant some guests relied on taxis to get there and then home later but that's a small price to pay for such an amazing venue and team of staff. The bridal Mews was lovely and included a jacuzzi. We would 100% recommend Thornton Manor for others looking to get married.

The cottage was lovely and all the staff at the wedding we attended were great. The kitchen looks nice but is so badly equipped do not expect to be able to cook anything other than very basic food. One tiny frying pan and one baking tray. Cooking utensils, bring your own. The worst thing is the "glassware" which is all plastic, horrible! We had 2 cottages the other had no cooking utensils. Treat like you going camping and bring all your kitchen equipment.

DO NOT BOOK. When the venue had a fire they refused to inform couples, they refused to pay couples out or respond to emails. Lying on their social media and deleting numerous comments and blocking people. They had insurance and also made customers get insurance too but they didnt pay out. They actively delete comments they don't like on social media. Please feel free to contact me for proof of all the above. Not to mention during lockdown they charged extra to keep our booking, no other supplier did this out of morality. If something goes wrong you're on your own. Imagine being due to get married and having no communication, no help or support and as a final slap in the face they wouldn't refund all our guests who booked accommodation there! Save your money and time and don't let corrupt establishments win.

Winter Wonderlight. Lovely light displays, love the areas they do the light show to music. No dark areas on route. Fairly small area but they have made the most of it all. Staff were all so friendly, professional and seemed very happy to be there. Only downpoint is the food/drink options, more pop up fairground style rather than Christmas so could definitely improve on that part. Pretty hard to find entrance as not properly lit - signposts could have been bigger and clearer.

We married here in march 2019 and can't rate the staff or the venue highly enough. Beautiful music room which is a perfect ceremony or wedding breakfast room. The wedding organisers know their stuff and help you to organise your day to exactly what you want and ensure it goes off without a hitch. Fabulous cottages available for guests to hire, i stayed the night before with bridesmaids, and the lodge we had was immaculate. Everything you needed was available, they also provided a good range of breakfast choices, fruit and pastries. Would highly highly recommend the venue for its beauty and the staff for their energy, calmness, knowledge and expertise to help you get the day of your dreams.

We booked a stay at Thornton Manor for a Romantic weekend We were greeted by Emma who is a really welcoming and lovely person and made us feel special from the word go. After receiving the keys we had a chat about the history of the estate. It was like stepping back in time. We went into our room and what a lovely room it was, very comfortable and special. We have already booked another stay at the Manor for our Christmas shopping spree in Liverpool. Thank you for making our stay special.
