   Excellent family weekend just spent at Mere Brook House.. A gorgeous house, in beautiful grounds. Easy access to all major routes. Staff are very helpful All of the rooms are done differently so a good selection to choose from All sorts of booking options available check the Website for details. This is the second year we have had our family Christmas weekend here All ages from 9 to 79 . Definitely recommend.

   Mere Brook House is a 5-Star B&B with the heart and service of a five-star hotel. We recently stayed for my father’s Wake, and I can honestly say Lawrence and his team turned a very emotional time into something calm, beautiful and dignified. We had family travelling from Finland, and across the UK, and Lawrence organised the rooms so everyone could stay close to their own groups. The team even prepared all the bedrooms early so we could settle in well before the usual check-in time — a kindness we appreciated more than they know. The food and catering were exquisite, more than enough and beautifully laid out. Throughout our stay we were made to feel completely at home: tea and coffee whenever we needed, support when wanted, and privacy when needed. It truly is a rare place that can combine warmth, professionalism, and such genuine care. Whether you’re planning a Wedding, a Wake, or a special family stay, Mere Brook House provides something extraordinary. We’ll be back without hesitation.

   What an absolute gem! Gorgeous place with fabulous rooms. If you are looking for attentive service throughout, this is not the place for you.    Greeted on arrival with a warm friendly smile by Launa . Once Jane ( I think her name is Jane ) took us to our room she provided us with complimentary tea , coffee and a plate of cakes. Room fantastic !! All staff fantastic!! Breakfast fantastic ( good choice) We purchased home produced apple juice and honey . The grounds stunning. Staying here is like being in my mums house only bigger so please don’t change.

   Absolutely fabulous. A beautiful setting. The warmest welcome ever! The service impeccable but the biggest difference was we we greeted & welcomed as special guests with( afternoon tea!) but left as friends. Out room in the main house was the most tasteful Art Deco design & wonderfully comfortable. Our breakfast scrummy, I just wish we were staying longer. Thank you Lorna & family.
