AVOID AT ALL COSTS! The site and photos on the website are wonderful and they offer wedding receptions etc so it has to be good right ? Unfortunately you couldn't be further from the truth. Everything everyone says in the reviews is true banging and slamming all night, dirty and dusty environments and poor hygiene throughout. The rooms for some unknown reason they put us in the old wing which is unfit for humans - mold, bugs on the bed, destroyed furniture, dirty and stained furniture I've never cried as a man from sleeping somewhere and Id always say I could sleep anywhere that however was my hard bottom line. Complained to the front desk they even confirmed it was disgusting and offered to see the new wing if we wanted to move rooms but after staying up all night with my skin crawling I was not in the mood to stay any longer so refused and asked for a refund they advised it would be sorted They deal on discord and constantly pass the buck you'll never speak to anyone with any authority. After weeks of complaints they offered 5% refund which they graciously offered an additional offer of 10% which is insulting considering I was supposed to stay 3 days and barely stays 10 hours and that was only because the front desk closed the moment we arrived. If you have to book book with a credit card and dispute the changes though them If all else you don't believe a thing I've written note that the ombudsman has expelled them so you have to contact trading standards instead. Absolutely atrocious

The hotel itself is nice, set in lovely grounds. But... I booked the classic room but was fobbed off into a standard room because no one had remembered to clean a room that is booked well in advance. Also they haven't refunded me the difference, which is a bit fraudulent... taking money for something they didn't provide. If id booked the standard room and paid the standard price I would have been happy with it, but being robbed this way is bad business.

This was the absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Ignore the good reviews they all came before the hotel was closed and taken over/reopened. It is no longer a hotel. This is emergency housing for unhoused people and this is not communicated anywhere. We only found out after arriving. The entire place is filthy, there are never any staff around and you have to phone customer service who are very unhelpful. We had ants in the bathroom, cobwebs, dirty sheets and a kettle full of mold/limescale. People were screaming and running in the corridors all night and it felt incredibly unsafe. I put a chair up against the door just to feel secure. We left and didn't stay for our full booking and when I asked for a refund due to all of the above, I was refused multiple times. I went so far as to contact the owner of the company and all he cared about was the form on his website not working. This place is foul and certainly not a 4* hotel, it is barely a hotel. Grim grim grim.

Do not stay at this hotel. Lots of strange men hanging about and no staff around. We waited downstairs for 15mins to try get a towel, pressed bells etc but no one came. We left without staying overnight as two women we felt unsafe. As we pulled up to the hotel there were a lot of men hanging around the front door. As we left men were in a group wandering around the hotel. I'm not sure what this hotel is being used for but it shouldn't be available for paying customers to book. It is isolated also. Never stay here! Be warned

Absolutely filthy place. There were large electrical appliances piled up in the car park, the room was disgusting. When you sat on the bed, you could feel the base underneath, as the mattress was shot. There were stains everywhere and when they came to our room, they agreed it was awful, but said it had been cleaned that day! The excuse was that the hotel was old! I did say that the hotel may be old but you are allowed to change the carpets, curtains and mattresses! We were offered another room, but as that was their standard, why would we want a different pile of filth! To top it off, they wouldn’t give us a refund!
