Sorry I never gave negative review but I decided to go back home earlier after checking in for 5 minutes. The room is too small with poor ventilation. The area looks doggy with 2 beggars walked around my car. Not feeling safe and comfortable to stay in this hotel.

Brand new hotel. 15 mins of walk from city center and 20 mins of walk for Liverpool lime station. Amazing rooms, off season cheap rates. Very good facilities. Facilities like, very big communal space for friends and family, common kitchen to cook or heat the food. Bus stops outside the hotel for city center. Staff very informative, supportive and friendly. They charge you £100 per night deposit which they will return you as soon as you check out, if the room condition is as it is, and no damages. Highly recommend place for overnight stay.

When we arrived, we were met with homeless people stood outside, no signage to the place and pieces of broken wood in which we had to step over. We were told where our room was and was asked to pay another £100 deposit. upon entering the hallway, was met with a foul smell which continued into our room. There were dirty marks all over the walls with holes and plaster falling off. There were unpainted walls and the blinds were stained. The bathroom door had a significant gap between the door and the floor and the smell was different, but just as foul in there. My anxieties were heightened as it was due to the location and the state of the place and in addition there was CONSTANT banging from the doors outside but the tipping point was when my partner peeled back the bedding and noticed the urine stain on the sheets. I could not physically stay in such a place and was left with no choice but to book elsewhere due to our 3 hour journey and planned events. I informed the receptionist that we were leaving and as I had informed them within 14 of using the service, I would require a refund. He was supportive and understood completely as to why we had to leave. I emailed several times before finally getting a response from the manager who blamed wear and tear, linen companies and other residents for the smell. She explained that the gap between the bathroom door and floor was because it was a fire door and that I would only be entitled to 20% of future stays. I expressed my disappointment of this compensation as the first stay led us to leave, why would I want to put more money into it?! I requested under the consumer protection act for my money back again and after much back and forth, I am met with silence. Upon reading other reviews, it appears this is a regular occurrence in which I would advise any future hotel stayers to avoid this place like the plague! I requested to speak to the director of the company - James Winters - as I have read a lot into his good work and I am sure he would have been disappointed to hear this but the manager expressed that she was the highest of high and that nobody else could deal with my complaint. I had requested an appeal in which she told me was impossible and when I informed her that I would have to contact ombudsman, she told me they did not have one? Management was rude, unempathetic and sarcastic

Absolute horrible customer service, management clearly lacking any kind of empathy. Booked a room for new years to treat my wife who is ill. The day after we booked the hotel we got word of a life changing surgery for her which she was waiting on. Tried to cancel the booking even after explaining they still refused to refund the money saying it was non refundable. As a frequent traveller to Liverpool with supporters clubs for games from Ireland this hotel has now been blacklisted by all our members and other supporters clubs being told not to use this accommodation as well.

Great little rooms, which have comfy beds and were really clean. £5 in cab to the middle of the city, which staff arranged for us. Parking available, which is a great bonus as staying in the middle of the city plus paying for parking can get expensive. Nerf gun and paintball place at back of pods so you can double up on your getaway. Staff really helpful and pleasant. Great stay and will definitely go back!

Not a cheap hotel cost wise but what we got was very basic. The room was tiny, as was the towels. The shower didn't work well, blasting with scolding hot water followed by cold intermittently. The view from the window was not at all appealing. Add to that rather draconian security measures. Both of us had to provide photo ID and a £100 damages deposit had to be taken. It is placed as pending on your account and will be replaced in "8-10 days". As someone who uses hotels all over the UK and the world, this is overkill, believe me. The hotel is clean but very noisy. Fire doors slam day and night and there's always some kind of machine sound humming away somewhere. The bed added to that by having a very loud squeak with every movement. The locale is not the best in Liverpool. For the prices charged, I would have expected better all round.
