This hotel was a gem. We have been all over Europe this year in over 30 hotels including Paris but this hotel was miles the best. The hotel has parking for about 10 cars and is a two storey building. Breakfast you can have basically anything within reason a typical breakfast is 2 sausage, bacon, eggs with beans and tomatoes also toast with jam of course there is tea and coffee. The rooms are great for sleeping in with a bathroom and a TV. Getting in to Liverpool is easy all you do is come out of the hotel turn left and walk up St Paul's Road at the end turn right up to the second set of lights on to Poulton Road turn left and the bus stop is there into Liverpool at a cost of £4 return. It takes about 30 minutes to get to Royal Albert docks. This is with a 10 minute walk down Dale street. I can highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be going back. The hotel is a project in operation but the hotel manager (Dave) and his staff are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them to solve.

Really nice place to stay. Dave the owner makes you feel very welcome. Room was clean and comfortable. A 2 minute walk to the Ferry across the Mersey. The breakfast Dave cooked was huge, I Had trouble finishing it. If you are thinking of staying in Liverpool, this is just across the river from the Liver Building. All the benefits of central Liverpool without the cost.

Don't be put off by the first outside impression . The hotel is clean, in an excellent position and offers a great breakfast. Yes the rooms are a bit small and not luxurious, but the price reflects that. The owners are lovely, helpful too. We really enjoyed our stay

Perfect location for the Belfast ferry. Amazing breakfast. 1st class manager, who was very helpful with everything. Easy to get to Liverpool on the ferry also. Only problem is that our room was noisy from the road and it was so hot, when we opened the window, the traffic was relentless. But the boss provided us with a fan for day 2 and it was fixed. Great place.

If I could give this place 100 stars I would! The friendliest and kindest staff, thank you for your generosity and hospitality during our short stay! Made me a vegan breakfast every morning and gave us great tourist and travel advice which made our trip even smoother. Beautiful clean rooms and lovely bedding and shower facilities. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Liverpool. Thank you to your lovely family for taking such good care of us!

We arrived to the warmest of welcomes at this lovely hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for Dave and his mum, who both put 100% into making our stay as enjoyable as could be. The room was beautifully clean with lovely views and the bed was the comfiest we’ve ever slept in. Daves breakfast was delicious and plentiful with lots of choices. The hotel is so handy for getting into the city, only a short stroll to the ferry port and bus stops. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area.

Fantastic place to stay. Don't be put off by how it looks from the street. Room was lovely, modern well fitted bathroom and shower. Breakfast was fantastic. Made to feel really welcome. Soooo convient 2 min walk to Ferry terminal that takes you over to Liverpool.

A great place to stay! The family that runs the hotel is very friendly and helpful. They also offer an incredible full English breakfast! The commuter ferry is just steps away but only runs during weekdays.

Absolutely wonderful place. The owners really look after you immensely. They are so lovely. Rooms are very nice, super clean, quite luxe. My only teeny issue is that the heat was mostly miss. The radiator didn't seem to work, or worked slightly for a few minutes then turned off. It wasn't the biggest issue as we were out most of the time, didn't complain, no need as the duvets were thick, but if it gets really chilly I think that maybe a panel radiant heater that's cheap to run in fuel bill crisis ,instant,no dust blowing, and fast would be awesome for a bit of heat in room and bathroom. Old radiators are a bugbear and so expensive these days unfortunately in bigger buildings...but this is only in cooler weather... otherwise flawless lovely stay.
