Group of 11, all rooms clean and spacious. Reception service up to and including stay great. Bar prices really good. Breakfast delicious all fresh and locally sourced. Very good value for money. Short walk to centre or jump a bus outside. Def stay again. Great find.
Very helpful welcome. The lady took my bag as I was early, and had it delivered to my room when it was ready. I then checked in around 10pm and the gentleman was great too, checked me in and showed me to my Room 14 at the back overlooking the car park, it was very quiet. The Room was very clean. And felt larger than I had expected. It had a standard double bed, so fine just for myself. The bathroom was clean and all towels provided were good quality unlike some places. Only bathroom issue was they didn't supply shower gel etc. Just a hand soap. That I wasn't expecting. I didn't try the bar and I knew I would be too late for food, so went to a street virtually opposite and found an Italian that was open, although rammed. The hotel breakfast is from 0800 to 0930, the pleasant lady had already set me a table. I had an issue working the coffee machine but the lady helped. The cereals were Kelloggs so pleased me. Orange and Apple juices. Some fruit. The actual breakfast was good, but slightly small on some items. I appreciate it the room and breakfast was a good price, and quite happy all together.
Well located in a lovely area. The property is a nice venue with a great bar area. Breakfast food is excellent with a small buffet selection and also cooked breakfast options. Our room was adequate but could do with a few bits of touching up. It was unfortunately over the bar area so in the evening it was quite noisy. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
Hotel was nice, beds were decent, nice and shower area! There was no fridge in the room even though it’s states that on the website! The food at the bar was delicious, the breakfast bar with the drinks, cereal and pastries was nice and pleasant the cooked breakfast was a big let down! All in all with the nice staff, nice bar and bar food! It was lovely and will stay again
Was shocked to see several customers being allowed to vape INSIDE this bar. Apparently it isn't illegal but the management should make a rule that stops it as it is very unfair on customers who have spent money on food and drinks to have to endure constant plumes of smoke coming their way. Avoid at busy times if you don't want to be choked by the vape fumes! Such a shame as the service is good and beers are good too. Why the management allow a few locals to ruin it for everyone is beyond me, but clearly they must be spending a lot of money at the bar! Hoping for a change in policy so the venue can feel like a welcoming place again.
Went for an evening meal with friends and family. Food was excellent and really good value. Great choice on menu and service was faultless. Will definitely go again.
Don't stay here if you want to sleep, if you're going to be up/out past midnight then it'd be fine, but there's a bar downstairs playing loud music with the bass turned upto 11 into the early hours on Friday and Saturday morning. Everything else was fine and staff were nice, although car park full so didn't manage to get a space.
2nd stay here. Asked for same room,was no problem. We were only residents first night as staff xmas party was on, not a problem we were welcomed into this. Staff are lovely, big shout out to chef Adam who came in early to serve our breakfast. Food is lovely, great bar and restaurant. We will definitely be back .
Lovely hotel with a bar and restaurant. We had a lovely clean room. The only complaints we had were that we couldn't turn the temperature down on the shower no matter which way we turned the dials. Scolding hot, very dangerous. We couldn't turn the radiator on and the room was on the cool side and also the remote for the TV wouldn't turn the TV on or off and only sometimes changed channel even after altering the batteries. The breakfast was lovely and the staff serving it were very attentive.
