We came back again specifically for Barbara, who is an excellent sales consultant. She welcomed us warmly and showed us sofas which suited our living space and needs. Her knowledge helped us so much. DO NOT BUY IN-STORE!! Bought a bed and paid for delivery plus construction in the house. It wouldn't fit up my stairs so Furniture Village charged me a massive "re-stocking fee" - 25% of the value of the bed (£1300). This is robbery. At no point did the salesman suggest I take measurements before paying or point out the re-stocking fee. I did, however, foolishly sign something that said I understood this. I can't comment on the quality of the furniture since it was never delivered (although I still had to pay for the building service). I can, however, tell you that the re-stocking fee would not apply for online purchases so you would be crazy to buy in-store. Massive lesson learned for me and I would never look at this company ever again. They could have said "fair enough, genuine mistake, you still need pay for the delivery but here's a refund". Instead they sting you for a huge fee. So just make sure you don't make the same mistake as me.
Superb first class service from Jason the manager at furniture village, Orpington store. Right from discussing what we would like and ideas to his effort and friendliness was above and beyond. We spent a considerable amount of money from a new sofa to dining table to new bed and Jason was there every step of the way, helping and guiding. Couldn’t praise this person enough!
There were staff to hand at all times, which is great. I felt comfortable (not just because of the amazing quality of the furniture) because the staff were attentive, informative but allowed customers to operate at their own pace. I came in with a small dream and as I was sat ready to quit and head home, I was greeted by Steve and it changed everything. Steve was very informative and supported me throughout my remaining time in the store. He gave me the knowledge and then the time and space to explore and make informed decisions. Michael and Abbey were also great help. They were friendly, conversational and willing to listen and add where necessary. At the end of my visit, I left in a great mood and still so excited to receive my new mattress and still pleasantly astonished by the great customer service I received and saw others receive in store.

Jake Young was was extremely helpful. Not only does he know he’s stuff, he was very friendly and was great when offering suggestions and answering questions. Thought he was a manager with the way he came across! Top quality service, would definitely recommend to ask for him
The furniture is stunning but the reason I am writing this review is because of the store assistant that was quite frankly one of the best salesmen I have ever come across. Leigh was his name. He passionately enticed us with some outstanding knowledge and facts about the characteristics of each piece and he really knew his stuff. I thought he must literally be part of the furniture but he’s only been working with you for a year and he was just outstanding. As we entered he was fluffing pillows and telling the story behind the beautiful Indian railway sleeper table to another family which caught our attention and he then walked round the shop with us and blew our minds with the amazing furniture and his amazing delivery on each piece. He really is an asset, I’m sure his sales heavily reflect that. He’s a bloody amazing salesman. Good on you Leigh!!
A huge thank you to Lauren Barnes who was super helpful and patient when we visited tonight - less than an hour before closing. We were on a hunt for a new sofa and Lauren made us feel at ease throughout the whole process. She was fab in helping us with the fabric choice of our new sofa and was super thorough and professional. We are really happy with our choice and left the store feeling very pleased with the service and care that Lauren gave us. Furniture Village will be our first place to go, whenever we are looking to buy anything new!
