    Enquired about a property in Wrexham described on the listing as "BEAUTIFULLY PRESENTED", and priced as such. Turned up and the property was empty and had clearly not been visited in months. The agent was visiting it for the first time as well as us and had never seen it before. There was extensive mould in three rooms, along with a sagging ceiling due to water damage and mushrooms growing from the ceiling in two areas. The rest of the house was in almost as poor a state. Total waste of our time. Luckily we had just viewed another house around the corner or I would be fuming at having driven down to view a property that wouldn't even be mortgageable. Seeing that a house was listed with Monopoly would definitely put me off unless the house itself was stunning, and I 100% will never be listing a house with them. I understand that the poor condition of the house isn't the estate agent's fault, but it's very unprofessional to be wasting peoples' time doing viewings without having any idea what condition the property is actually in, or representing the condition as much better on the listing than it actually is in reality.

    We initially enquired with monopoly as they are who we purchased off as first time buyers. We were hesitant and worried about selling but I think it was Pete who came out and was so helpful. Our house sold within 12 hours but unfortunately fell through a week later. Pete was lovely when he rang. We sold it again about a week or 2 later. Monopoly seemed pro active in trying to advertise this as we had lots of viewing requests before it even went live. Monopoly were great at the initial stages of getting things moving. I would definitely use monopoly again, they appear quite popular and well known. I have marked down as a 4 only on the basis that it went quiet once this was with solicitor and we didn’t hear anything until completion, I did also ring twice and didn’t receive contact back. All in all though, they seem a lovely team and driven with supporting successful happy endings.

    My husband and I we desperately looking for our forever home, being pensioners and after living in our caravan for 7 years it was definitely time to start looking. After months of searching we came across Monopoly just from the first conversation on the phone we knew that these are so different from the rest. We went to our first viewing met Helen wow what an amazing woman so kind and understanding, there was 9 other parties interested in the property and although it was very nice the street didn't feel right for us, we think Helen could see that.She told us about a bungalow that's being done out and not yet on the market, she arranged for us to view before it was ready and wow we fell in love immediately, from then and until we got the keys everything was so professional she took us through every step. Been here 2 months now and Helen and Nicola still check to see how we are, if you are looking to rent or buy don't hesitate to use Monopoly they are truly the best xx

    Edited to respond to owner's response: Re: park homes being difficult to sell. Several homes have sold on the site over the last six months, which doesn't indicate they are difficult to sell. Re: the services provided (photos floorplans etc) - these are standard estate agent services. The agent actually left the main bathroom out of photos and had to return a second time to complete the photos after the listing went live. Re: negotiating with buyers. Again, surely a standard estate agent service? The agent also had to be asked by me to contact the other interested buyer when the first sale fell through, it wasn't something they proactively did. Re: solicitors being chased regularly. If this happened, no updates were ever passed on to us at any point. The only time we had an update from the agent re: solicitors was on one occasion when I specifically asked them to chase. As I said in my original review, I was going through my own sale at the same time, so I'm able to make a direct comparison to the service I had (which was for a comparable fee). .... We used Monopoly for the sale of my mum’s park home last month. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend them. I used The Property Man for my own property sale, which was happening at the same time as my mum’s sale. Having the two sales happening in tandem allows me to write this review from a place where I can see how it should have been done. Monopoly just didn’t really do anything outside of listing the property and organising viewings. They didn’t keep in touch, and they didn’t do anything to push the sale along. The estate agents I used for my own sale kept in touch with us every week, and were brilliant at helping to chase solicitors and keep everybody involved in touch and on the same page. There was also an occasion during the viewing period where they turned up after we’d told them the time wasn’t suitable, and on another occasion they called my mum in hospital after we’d asked them to use my contact details. It was all just a bit basic considering the fee involved.
