Absolutely the worst Solicitors in the UK , they are a complete cowboys , I’m actually nearly £10,000 out of pocket because of Tina Staves , from start to finish this person does not listen to you , does not reply to you , sends emails on Fridays 10 minute before they close so you cannot contact them till the following Monday (how convenient) I raised a complaint about this horrible service to Lindsey Rawson who is supposed To deal with complaints, What an absolute joke , of the several complaints raised she only replied to two of them. And the conversation I had with Rawson was one way all she kept saying was (excuse me I’m speaking Excuse me can I talk Excuse me Excuse me ) Another absolute Joke. Well now I am having to contact the Ombudsman to take this complaint further, my advice about Howells Solicitors is stay well away , if you liked being messed about from start to finish and end up being out of pocket nearly £10,000 , that I am having to try a get back myself. They take your money , take weeks to sort matters out don’t listen to you , they don’t answer the phone 9 times of of 10 you are answered by a answer machine , they only person who was nice was the receptionist Jessica Carnell. Please Please AVOID HOWELL SOLICITORS
Not sure who I spoke to but..the receptionist was lovely.. however the lady I got put through to who failed to star her name was horrible. I’ve never felt more spoken down to in my life, she certainly had a good complex. Decided to not bother using Hiwells as I have used them in the past and they are awful then.

Louise Ellis guided me through the complex process of my court application. Louise also guided and advised me with my dealings with school, social services and Cafcass. I feel I was always given the best advice for any given situation and I was able to get a relatively swift outcome in a difficult case. Even when Louise was on holiday, everything was planned to run smoothly in her absence and I always knew what my next steps were and who I should be speaking with. I Could not recommend Louise enough and all the staff at Howells who always interacted in a professional and courteous manner.
Worst solicitors ever! Friendly advise please stay away they take years to complete one sale. They lose documents and then keep asking you to bring them over and over. Pay that extra £200/300 and go for a different solicitor. They never answer calls. Only helpful person is the receptionist. Your assigned solicitor will only contact you once during the 6 month period they take to complete a purchase. Stay away!! Edit: Complaint has been raised and is currently under investigation
