   Regarding your reply to Grace snowdon I’d like to point out that that is simply not true. The only complexities are your firm refusing to make contact or reply to any party involved in the attempt to get you to release the proceeds of the sale… including the solicitor we have instructed. You have been offered numerous solutions from more knowledgable sources than yourselves and you’re rejected them at every opportunity. I do hope you are going to review the charges on the completion statement. I also hope you are aware that grace Snowdon instructed in writing that we were not to exchange or complete without a resolution to your refusal to pay funds. We have this in writing. Please don’t tell lies on google reviews when there is no justification for you to hold funds as numerous solicitors have supported us and you are still convinced your right and too proud to admit you’ve made an error and are incompetent.

   Absolutely awful experience with this company. We still haven’t received the proceeds of our house sale with the excuse of “our liability” we have asked for all authority documentation to be provided at the beginning of November, which we have been charged for! But they are still withholding funds stating we need to open a bank account for four people… a task that our financial advisor has told us is impossible. Speaking to other firms if the authority is given then the firm is not liable… something they all say is not true. We not have another solicitor trying to resolve the issue! Apparently this solicitor and our excellent financial advisor know nothing about the situation…. I can categorically tell you they know far more than anyone at shacklocks particularly the partners about the issue. How on earth do they ever deal with a divorce house sale?! I dread to think. Do not trust with your house sale in any way shape or form. Oh and to add insult to injury we were happy to hold the sale of the house and risk losing the sale to resolve this before completion but we were told to exchange and complete… something which they are now denying (the joys of speaker phones provide us with excellent witnesses to the conversation though)

   A regrettably slow and insincere service where their control off the Trust, was omnipresent and their service non existent! 3 years to conclude and still no final statement! A reason why the legal industry is rarely respected! Bit like Kier Starmer!

   My wife and I have used and are using the services of shacklocks solicitors. Solicitors are very professional, and knowledgeable. Friendly, easy to work with, very helpful. Have patience, when asked questions, and give good clear responses, and helpful advice, so you always know at every step, what is happening with your particular case what ever it may be. Nothing is too much, always ready to listen and respond. Access to your solicitor is very good, if they are busy, they will, and do ring you as soon as they can. If you want good solicitors , who will work well and hard for your concerns, give shacklocks at Mansfield a go, you will not be disappointed . Staff at shacklocks are , friendly and ready to help also, professional too.

   Had the misfortune of dealing with shacklocks for a recent house move. They were working for the end of our chain and they constantly held up proceedings. They still rely on post rather than email for simple documentation and seem to be very much stuck in the past. Simple issues raised with them took weeks to sort and their communication with the other solicitors and estate agents in the chain left a lot to be desired. I think some of their conveyancing team have lost the joy for the job and seem to be intent on being awkward. The best one was when we were told they needed permission from a partner of the firm for same day exchange and complete. Why would a qualified lawyer of 15 years need permission to do something that is very common place? If you want a smooth house move then look elsewhere as I doubt you'll get that from shacklocks.
