Gabrielle Anthony and Melanie Lawson handled the conveyancing of our re-mortgage. They managed to turn the whole process around in a week! Very impressive, professional service, handled at pace with clear comms at each steps. Thank you. Highly recommended.

I was suggested to use this firm by my mortgage broker when doing a remortgage. Big mistake. They just give the impression that they want to clear your case off as soon as possible without regards to the quality of the application. Not to mention the over reliance on automated emails, felt like I was talking to a terrible bot. And when I complained about this, I got told that the case handler was to handle the complaint, which seems very odd to me. I cancelled my whole remortgage with them before it got completed, rather than risk dealing with the outcome of their sloppy work for years to come.

AVOID! Please read other reviews! These guys are in the chain, and as other have reviewed, are shocking. They are rude (even to their own client), delaying, not replying, stating comments such as 'you don't need to worry about that', 'we can't talk about a completion date'. Horrific, while everyone waits in the chain for these guys to sort out a simple 2 way move - with no complications. They have been reported to the legal ombudsman.

Would NOT recommend them to anybody! Worst solicitors we have had to deal with. They were representing our sellers and they were very very slow, not replying to emails, not calling back when voicemails were left. Even very basic questions they would take 1 week to reply to. The only reason our conveyancing process took this long is because of Fidler!! It was only several complaints later did they start responding to our solicitor's email. Even our completion date was delayed because Fidler were not ready in time, even though everyone in the chain were in agreement and everyone was aware of it at least 1-2 weeks in advance. Would definitely NOT go for this solicitors if you want to get a house in good time.

*** AVOID *** Unfortunately one of the buying parties in our chain took a recommendation from a Mortgage adviser and regrettably chose Fidler and Pepper as their solicitor. Our chain was on a fixed but very reasonable timeline. Everyone else was ready in good time within 4 weeks. We are now 3 months+ in and Fidler have contrived to delay the process every step of the way. Poorly timed enquiries. Long (weeks) delays between communications. Raising queries that have already been answered. Raising queries several weeks later than they could have. Absolutely no care or urgency. These guys have single handedly ruined the whole process for everyone involved. If I could give 0 stars I would. We raised a formal complaint through their complaint process. This made absolutely no difference. They may express a concern via a response to reviews but this is for public show only. They really don't care. I have learned how important it is that you should check all the suppliers in the chain before committing to any buying or selling process. If Fidler and Pepper are representing anyone in your chain then you should seriously consider a replacement. Just don't put yourself through it. I know I won't engage in any process that features this supplier ever again. Estate Agents - watch out for these people. Save yourself the stress and advise your clients to steer clear. Mortgage advisers... I presume you get a kickback. It's not worth the misery. Stop recommending this firm.

Awful service from Jess. Never, ever answers her direct dial. No updates in regards to completion dates (had to find out from sellers). Called multiple times no answer. Figures wrong on paperwork including house price and deposit value. Chased for account details and got ignored. Constant requests for paperwork and updates which had already been completed with mortgage advisor. All in all, a shambles. The fact you have to pay over a grand for this is just a kick in the teeth. I would never use Fidler & Pepper again. Blamed it on being busy for COVID (which would be reasonable and understandable) but reviews say the same thing going way back before the pandemic. Just shoddy.
