I would not recommend this company in the slightest, as unfortunately, the excellent service is vastly overshadowed by rude and incompetent senior personnel. As you cannot get a word in edgeways on the phone, I resort to leaving this disgruntled review. After several email exchanges with a fantastic member of staff, who responds promptly with full and informative emails, for the purposes of a large delivery to the Dominican Republic, I called back because the company recommended a courier that no longer deals in personal goods due to separate customs and screening costs associated with second hand items, and was confused as to why Transit + had forwarded their number. After pleasantly discussing with a different member of staff - who later revealed herself to be a manager - the significant costs of the "aduana" in the Dominican Republic that came as a surprise to the package recipient, she immediately switched her tone to aggressive and accusatory, and said her company would refuse to do business with me in the future, taking an anecdote completely out of context because I'd "abandoned" my package in the Dominican Republic. This was not the case. I merely mentioned the disproportionate costs once it arrived and that it discouraged me from doing so again. She decided this made me an undesirable customer, made ridiculous assumptions, even going as far as to allege that I had been blacklisted from the industry. If this sounds arbitrary and schizophrenic, imagine my surprise on the other end of the line. I asked my fluent daughter to call back in the mistaken belief that this misunderstanding was generated by the language barrier, and this person was once again extremely rude and unhelpful, borderline yelling down the phone at me to not bother calling back and that I should try a different company. We questioned why another company would do business with us if we were blacklisted as she so vehemently claimed. She then back-tracked and said it was her personal executive decision to ban us. Discern from this what you will. The way we were spoken down to for trying to clarify her error made me wonder whether I was talking to Transit+ from Rochdale, or in the boardroom on The Apprentice. It's a real shame that unprofessional and egotistical individuals are ascended to positions that clearly outpace their professional capabilities. Very unfortunate that members like these let the rest of the team down.
