We love the easy 5 hour parking, friendly staff and the opportunity to see, not only films, but the Operas streamed from the MET, Royal Opera House, and plays by major theatres. The local food outlets, stores, and Tesco store add to Central Gateshead's appeal. Vue is very good value for money.

Here’s a draft of a scathing review you could post about Vue in Gateshead, written in a long, detailed style to capture the I don’t usually write reviews, but my experience at Vue in Gateshead was so appalling that I feel compelled to warn others. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was unpleasant. The place smelled horrible — a mix of dampness and something rotten that made me feel uncomfortable before I even sat down. The food situation was even worse. What was served looked old and unappetizing, and to my shock, some of it appeared moldy. Paying cinema prices for food that isn’t even safe to eat is unacceptable. It completely ruined the evening, and I couldn’t believe this was being sold to customers. On top of that, the staff treatment was dreadful. One man in particular stood out — he had a yellow mullet and smelled terrible. Instead of being professional or helpful, he was openly hostile, making the whole experience feel intimidating rather than enjoyable. His attitude was aggressive, and it made me feel unwelcome and disrespected. he acted horrible to me and everyone i was with Between the foul smell, the unsafe food, and the hostile staff, this was one of the worst outings I’ve ever had. A cinema should be a place of entertainment and relaxation, but Vue Gateshead managed to turn it into a nightmare. I will never return, and I strongly advise others to avoid this location if they value their money, their health, and their peace of mind.

Watched a film here on at least ten occasions, never an issue. Very reasonable ticket prices, booking online is even cheaper. Just like you can expect from a movie place, ridiculous food and drink prices but not an issue as Tesco is quite literally in crawling distance from the front doors. I can clarify from my own experience that Vue takes no issue with you bringing in any food or drinks from elsewhere, except (I believe) if it is hot food/drinks.

Good cinema and great value compared to its competitors. When arriving make sure you arrive just on time because there is not much seating if you get there early whilst you wait for the cinema room to be cleaned and for the previous showing to finish. As always, the refreshments bought within are quite expensive, £3.50 for a small bag of chocolates, so pop to Tesco before hand to get the same stuff for half the price.

It is what it is, a cinema. A consessions stand with the usual hot dogs and drinks. Toilets and plenty of screens. We had VIP seats, a freebie but well worth the extra and park in Tesco carpark and its free with voucher from the Vue.

If you want the cinema experience for an affordable price, this is definitely the place. Tickets can be purchased online for as little at £5. Food is always delicious and warm, and the staff are very friendly.

Always love this cinema - it’s affordable, easy to book online and is free parking (with the code Vue give you). It’s never busy though I prefer daytime showings. Always clean and tidy and the staff are friendly enough. The food isn’t particularly cheap and the lightly salted nachos taste like cardboard…but there’s nothing stopping you from taking your own snacks in. My top cinema every time.

I always have a very positive experience upon visiting here, for being a budget friendly cinema they provide a good experience with great customer service. Even the lower priced tickets provide an excellent view of the screen and a comfortable, plus size accessible seat. The food here is good, I enjoyed the nachos and my partner enjoyed the hot dogs however the price point on confectionary is steep. I enjoy that they screen older movies, such as Disney films and 90s/early 2000s hits. These make for a lovely day out or alternative to seeing the latest block busters.
