    Had city taxis for years so was a bit dubious when Veezu took over but always been good service until Xmas eve. Booked a taxi to town what should have been 5/10 min trip but the driver took the longest way ever ending up at main tram stop near hallamshre hospital and then doubling back into town centre. I rang to complain a lady told me to hold for complaints dept then cut me off so I rang again asked for complaints dept oh no such thing put me on to another lady who was extremely rude when I said they overcharged me and said well it’s Xmas eve…that was not the point the fact I was overcharged was the mystery tour I went on for 20 mins all around Sheffield

    Absolutely terrible service. I pre-booked a 6-seater taxi more than a week in advance for a surprise family trip with our child and grandparents. On the day, I called around 20 minutes before the scheduled pickup to confirm the taxi would arrive, as we were travelling to the train station and had onward commitments. The person I spoke to said they would do “all they could” to get a 6-seater to us and added a note to my booking to say we would consider two cars if a 6-seater wasn’t available — despite the booking having been made over a week earlier. In the end, no vehicle arrived at all — no 6-seater, no car, nothing. When I tried to call back, there was no answer. I was absolutely furious. We had to order two Ubers at the last minute and nearly missed our train, setting off over 20 minutes later than planned. The level of customer service was disgraceful. It’s unacceptable that a company can cause so much stress on what was meant to be a carefully planned family day out. Thankfully, Uber got us there quickly and didn’t completely ruin the day, but I was left feeling extremely stressed, let down, angry, and frustrated. I have since deleted my account and removed the app. Based on my experience, if you want a reliable service, use Uber — not Veezu

    First at the beginning of the year I was charged for a journey when the taxi didn't arrive even when saying it was outside and I was stood outside waiting. Around May/June this year I had to apply for a refund when a driver took an unneeded way back to mine thus making his fare higher (may have worked if I hadn't have lived here the best part of my life, and owned a car and new he had no need to go through Darnall and town to get from my location to my house). Over a week ago, ordered a taxi from town, stood waiting only for the driver to call me asking me to go find him kn some other street outside a pub I've never heard off (rarely go into town and my going out days ends decades ago lol) so due to me being confused and not sure where he wanted me to go, the driver cancelled my trip yet they took money out of my account, good job uber did the job. Waited over a week to get refund after many phone calls and messages from myself saying I was gonna expose there poor business practices. Yes they along with uber are the main taxi services in Sheffield but I would use uber forever and a day and never veezu after this year's performance. Imagine all the journeys and trips people make Dailey never mind monthly and yearly and if they pull these tricks a few times a day that all adds up. Would much rather book and pay cash if I was anyone that uses them in the future and save yourself from being scammed and ripped off by this sham of a company.

    You really let my elderly parents down. Driver arrived over 30 minutes late to take them to their medical appointment and then never came back to take them home. Very disappointing and such a poor performance on your part. Not a very nice way to treat elderly, vulnerable and disabled customers. You got one star because I couldn’t put no stars. To Veezu Sheffield - suggesting I complete a feedback form will not resolve the problem as it has already happened. This review IS feedback.

    Would like to give this sheffield taxi service more than 5 stars if I could. Tried Uber...didn't turn up...called Veezu. Communication was fantastic, felt very safe as a single female passenger. Extremely professional service to and from my night out. Superb local service!

    The driver was brilliant but the operator didn’t listen to my request. Sent a hatch back instead of the estate vehicle I’d ordered and agreed to pay an extra £5 charge. Luckily my wheelchair was shoehorned in along with the three adult passengers. Do better City!

    I’ve not got the app. As I needed a taxi quickly. The phone system said to say your address after the beep. There was no beep. Then when I spoke it said it could not hear me. Ended up hanging up and ringing again and pressing the “don’t want to tell you my address button” Spoke to someone. Taxi arrived. Journey fine. Arrived, and said. I have a text, you take applepay. The reply was, no I don’t have a card reader. It is cash or pay in the app. Luckily I had some cash. But overall not a great experience with booking. Taxi driver was fine

    Appalling. Been using them for years. Ordered a taxi. Was told it would be 20 minutes. Half an hour later I rang back and was told it would be another half an hour. Had a text confirming taxi was due. 20 minutes later I tapped on the link to track driver. A message appeared informing me the taxi had been cancelled. Never using them again

    The 3 stars are for the drivers, NOT the company who now add an automatic 20% tip that the drivers never see. The few that do get 20% deduction on the tips as it’s just counted as part of the overall fare. As for how they take advantage of their account with NHS Patient Transport services (City Cabs, Not the drivers) is disgusting and makes my blood boil. On a good note, having recently suffered 2 strokes. I do need taxis on a regular basis and the drivers couldn’t be more polite and helpful. When I struggle to carry my weekly shopping, they always empty my shopping bags out the car and carry them to the front door. I recommend if you use City Cabs that you pay any gratuities in cash. If City Cabs delete this review then I will volunteer this review to The Star but in a lot more detail

    Have used City Taxis over the years and never really had a gripe but Tuesday last City Taxis really let themselves down. Off to London for the Queens laying in state -booked a taxi go take us to the station. Clearly marked the booking (on line) that it was for five passengers - three adults and two children. Taxi arrived on time when driver stated he could only take four ! Asked driver to contact the firm and explain why this had happened. Even phoned ourselves and were told that another taxi couldn't be guaranteed. Train to catch and not sure now if we would make it. Lo and behold, another taxi arrived - though this driver was more helpful- he could only carry four. A decision was made to use them both thereby paying two fares instead of one ..... To make matters worse, en route we noticed a taxi that could have carried us all going the other way ! Our driver said that that was our taxi albeit late. Will think very carefully about booking City next time, particularly when a deadline to meet and this episode showed a total lack of organisation and awareness.
