i am a minor came here for my mental health, got taken in by police in section 136, on the mental health assessment i got section 2 and taken to children’s ward, workers so rude they didn’t give me my adhd meds or sleeping meds, threatened to take my phone and the whole time i was in their i wasn’t allowed any fresh air. i had made a friend in their who was the only person around my age and as everyone knows friends help with mental health, the staff didn’t even let us be in the same room together or talk at all. its so anti social nurses don’t let you make any friends or talk to anyone your age in their i hated it so much, i had to lie my way out of that hell. didnt help me at all. didn’t give me any privacy constantly being watched i had to talk to them in the shower and bathroom and if i didn’t talk to them they’d come in the bathroom. happened on multiple occasions where they came in while i was in the bathroom, no washers so couldn’t clean my clothes and they also had to listen in on you when your in the bathroom, and if they didn’t hear any noise they would come in, usually they’d make you keep the door unlocked or you had to keep the door open. got no sleep at all most nights because babies were always crying, that’s not the hospitals fault but they could’ve moved my room to somewhere quieter, terrible for mental health especially for minors!! DONT COME HERE FOR MENTAL HEALTH. the only way out of this hell is pretending to be happy they don’t even try to help you.

I believe that every experience is personal. We live in London and our son is a second-year student at Surrey University. Today, we found out that he went to A&E because he wasn't feeling well. The outcome is a severe infection, suspected meningitis. We, worried parents, drove to Guildford as soon as we found out that he was in hospital. At the moment, he is in hospital, and from his arrival at A&E to admission, the staff were terrific—very professional and caring. We could not thank them enough. When we arrived to see our child, the staff was invaluable and informative. From our previous experiences in London hospital wards over the years, it felt like VIP treatment. Absolutely outstanding staff! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for saving our son's life.

Since going to the Royal Surrey in May 2025, I've had dilations of the Oseophagus and consultations .The staff are terrific, caring, and very friendly. The nurses , the consultant, the doctors I saw, and all the staff in the SSSU,Compton, Frensham and Ewhurst who were involved with my care were all a credit to the NHS. Well done, and many many thanks for everything your doing to make me feel better. You are the best Hispital I've been to.

If I knew a better way of thanking the staff working at this hospital I would go for it. My personal experience has been brilliant. I was pregnant with my second child and the whole team that looked after us appointment after appointment was faultless. Midwifes, sonographers, consultant, people at reception… absolutely everyone. During appointments I had a midwife that was like an angel in the process, called Lucy and during labour we had Amy B. who was the most calm, caring and easy going person ever. We couldn’t have had a better experience and we know our labour was perfect. Thank you so much for all the love and kindness you all put in your roles. Forever grateful! Maria C.

Parking is a nightmare 45 min driving around half hour last time, good luck if it's an emergency. Enforcing mask wearing still be warned you may have to sit in a room on your own if you don't show an exemption card. Also very busy staff rush all appointments and some are very rude ( not all ) but overall its just a stressful environment to be in. I've been to lots of different hospitals to make my comparison. I will not be looking to ever come here again.

From the moment I arrived at the hospital, I was impressed with the level of professionalism and care that the staff demonstrated. The hospital itself was clean, organized, and welcoming, which helped to ease any initial nerves I had about my appointment. The radiologists who conducted my MRI scan were particularly noteworthy. They were not only cordial and sympathetic, but also incredibly professional and caring. They took the time to explain the procedure and answer any questions I had, which helped me feel more at ease throughout the appointment. Furthermore, they demonstrated a clear commitment to their patients' well-being. They were attentive to any concerns or discomfort I experienced during the scan, and they made sure to adjust the equipment as needed to ensure my comfort. Overall, I was extremely impressed with my experience at this hospital and with the radiologists who conducted my MRI scan. Their caring, professional, and empathetic approach made all the difference, and I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone in need of medical care.

Had to check into A and E early morning in the New Year. I was seen quickly for assessment and Xray and blood tests. I was kept informed by the duty Dr who was very thorough in examination and in repeating tests to ensure accuracy over time. Best of all, staff were attentive and kind despite being very busy. I was given the results of my tests to reassure me and referred for clinic review. Very very impressed with the level of care, which went beyond duty and well into human compassion.

So impressed with the care in this hospital. My daughter was taken in with bronchilitis and needed oxygen. The doctors were fantastic. Very caring and took their time to explain everything. I’ve always had good experiences with this hospital. Even when I had a miscarriage, the care was excellent at what was a difficult time. Thank you! Made me very grateful to have the NHS on weds night!

I didn't receive a review request, so felt compelled to leave one myself. My whole experience with the ophthalmology team was wonderful. Such a caring, compassionate and humorous team of individuals who are interested in their patients' well being both for the immediate medical issue in question, but as a whole. ("Went for an eye examination, came away with counselling"). This is my second personal experience with this hospital, and both have been overwhelmingly positive. I'm surprised by the overall review score.
