The service in this chippy is awful and the food not cooked right and give you the wrong items
Ordered fish and chips + a samosa. Fish smelt rotten (like cat food) and was very soggy; didn’t taste like fish at all. The samosa tasted very bad and smelt like it had gone off. Chips tasted like they were cooked in fish oil. Their food is far from being fresh and probably sits for days. Had to throw my meal away and won’t be ordering again. Sad because the customer service was very nice.
Favourite local chippy, im a regular here. Decided on a large fish and chips with an extra sausage. The chips were hot and fresh as always and the fish was huge. The food is fairly priced and service is always good.
I found three small hairs in my fish and chips and personally I didn't care enough to run and get my phone to take a picture as I wasn't too grossed out. At first I was thinking it was a cat hair although it was unlikely since I hadn't touched my cats all evening but then I found the third one between two chips and I was sure it was from whoever served it. I just wanted to say the food was good and also good value for money but please don't let this happen again I'm pretty sure many normal people would be freaked and ask for a refund or something.
Bag of chips, hadn’t been washed properly. Still had grit in it. Living near by going past it for last 20 years. So going back to my old college road chippy . It’s worth paying extra 30p on chips. And service wasn’t great neither.
This place has been a fixture in my life for over 50 years, albeit with different owners. I now live in Wales but each time I visit Brum I pop in. The food is great and varied from fish and chips to fried chicken to doner to Asian delicacies. Prices are affordable and there is always great service
