I took my neighbour for her post op appointment. She says this place is always friendly and efficient. However she did bave a problem with a frosty nurse.

My pregnant wife has just called me crying and desperate after attending for a blood test. Appointment was at 9.15, she's been there since 8.30, She got a notification that there was a 35 min delay, after waiting for an hour at 10.05 she asked and was told they wouldn't take her blood because she had not checked-in, which she did, and that they don't do it after 10. Is it really that big of a deal to do a blood test FIVE minutes later than 10 when she has been there waiting since an hour before? Much better to leave a pregnant woman there, on her own, crying and desperate after having travelled just to have to return another day. And we're talking about a pregnant woman with a previous complicated pregnancy that was in need of the tests. DISGUSTING behaviour is being polite. And a waste of resources too, she wasn't there for fun, so they'll need to take her blood regardless another day. Now I have to leave work and drive for an hour to pick her up (and arrange to pick up her car) because they have left a pregnant woman in such a state of dispair that she can't even drive. Bless the NHS and their staff.

Incredible care and service from the breast clinic. I was seen on time by three different departments and I was in and out within 30 minutes. The staff were all incredible.

Great establishment. My appointment was quick and efficient. Clear directions throughout. Everything is clean, no dust, smells clean. Parking is free and plentiful. An example for the rest.

Radiology department seems well run. I attended the walk in service mid morning and did not have to wait long to be seen despite it being busy. Reception staff are friendly, kind and helpful and radiographers are polite, efficient and professional. The building is quite old and the decor needs some attention.

Had my bloods done there for the first time, lady who took my blood was young and wore bit too much make up (thought nurses have to fit in some sort of standards when it comes to that). When she took the needle out felt like she scrapped me inside ( done my best not to scream) and she have not applied any pressure nor asked me to hold my finger on the cotton ball as they normaly do, she just put the plaster with a cotton ball and told me its all done. Struggled to drive, when i got home i have looked at my arm and it was all swollen and sore. Had my bloods done on the 12th of January, today is the 22nd and my arm still sore and blue. They should train their staff properly. Was hoping to attach the picture of my arm but it won't let me

Supposed to have an appointment at the breast clinic. I've rung them several times today and yesterday to rebook as I can't make it due to weather. No answer on the number they sent me to cancel or rebook. Left 2 messages and no one has called me back. Rang the hospital switchboard, they couldn't even tell me if the department was open or not. So now my appointment was missed as I couldn't cancel or rearrange it.

Departments extremely efficient, Urology, Cardiology, Phebotomy, X-ray. 5* Urology not so good lack of urgency in their obligation to see patients, failure to make appointments, I've been waiting 16wks when an appointment should have been arranged at 6wks after test. 1*

Outpatients appointment line have stopped taking calls! I have been trying to call to change a Rheumatology appointment which I am not able to attend, for 3 days and each time I’ve called there is a message to say that due to high call numbers they are no longer adding calls to the queue and then the call hangs up! They have basically turned their phones off! I also tried calling the main switchboard but I was transferred to a voice mail service which didn’t allow me to leave a message! How are patients supposed to advise the hospital if they can not attend appointments?! I may now be discharged because I’ve seemingly missed appointment. Also another patient could have had my appointment but now it will have been wasted. Absolutely appalling conduct from this hospital. I will be making a formal complaint. What a disgrace!
