I, Jelena Dasuka, had surgery on my left eye on December 23, 2025 at 12:50 p.m. I had an appointment. I really want to thank the entire team. Everything was done at the highest level. The doctor's attitude and the service of the staff are beyond praise. My most sincere wishes for a happy holiday and thank you very much for everything.

Waiting waiting waiting… overnight is worse as they have limited (or 0) doctors….. the nurses are fine, staff is ok, but waiting to be seen takes ages. If you coming here bring charger, pillow, blanket (is quite warm but depending ln your symptoms) comfortable shoes, and patience…

I was admitted here in the hospital, and yesterday I was discharged. I want to say a big thank you to Corina from SDEC, and last but not least, to thank the staff from the Medical Receiving Unit, who are wonderful people. Absolutely all the staff were amazing and do their job with great compassion for every patient.

I am writing this review to express how deeply disappointed and stressed I became after the way my family was treated at King George Hospital A&E on 1st December around 1:00 AM. My 10-month-old daughter had a high fever and was extremely unwell, so we rushed to A&E worried and anxious. After waiting almost four hours, my wife was finally seen by Dr Al Khashlay in Consultant Room 4. From the moment my wife stepped into the room, the doctor was cold, dismissive, sarcastic, and showed zero empathy. She didn’t even carry out what looked like a proper examination of our baby. When parents are already scared and exhausted, this is the last thing anyone should experience. When my wife came out visibly upset, I walked over just to check the room number so I could make a complaint. At that exact moment, the doctor walked out. I politely said: “Hey Miss, can I quickly speak to you?” All I wanted was to understand what was actually wrong with my baby — nothing more. Instead, she raised her hand in my face and said loudly: “Go away from here. Do not speak to me. If you have any questions, go to reception.” Then she added: “I am the only doctor here, do not try to speak to me.” Her behaviour was completely unprovoked and extremely unprofessional. I was polite and calm, yet she responded with hostility for no reason. When I simply said she should show some respect, she began shouting in front of other patients, embarrassing me and escalating a situation that never needed to escalate. This entire experience caused me unnecessary stress and anxiety, especially when my baby was already in a vulnerable condition. Hospitals are supposed to be a place where families feel safe, supported, and cared for — not somewhere they get spoken to rudely or dismissed by the very people meant to help. I pay my taxes, I don’t claim benefits, and I expect at the very least to be treated with basic respect and professionalism. What happened that night was unacceptable on every level. I sincerely hope the hospital investigates this matter properly, reviews the CCTV around 1:00 AM near Consultant Room 4, and ensures no other parent has to experience this kind of behaviour when seeking help for their sick child. This experience left me extremely disappointed, stressed, and shocked at the lack of compassion shown.

My mum was taken into the SDCU (Clover) Podiatry by ambulance, and the level of care she received was appalling from start to finish. No doctor came to see her at first — only two nurses who repeatedly tried (and failed) to take her blood, painfully poking her 4 times in both arms. Without properly informing us, they moved her to Beach Ward and began preparing her for admission as if we weren’t even there. Things only got worse when a doctor came and said he was giving her an “injection, but in reality, he was attempting to take blood from her groin. He and a nurse even asked me to leave the room for five minutes, and when I refused, they acted like it was a problem. I will not going to leave my mum in the hands of people who clearly don’t know how to handle patients with dignity and transparency. Simple requests weren’t even met. Mum asked for a cup of tea, and they gave her a cold one with no sugar. The nurse didn’t know how to use the ECG machine and instead of sorting it out, she started complaining about the last person who had used it. Even the basics weren’t prepared, they didn’t have a bed ready for her. The whole experience was unprofessional, careless, and distressing for both my mum and me. Patients deserve proper care, honesty, and respect, none of which were shown here. I honestly wouldn’t trust this hospital with the wellbeing of anyone I care about, especially our elders.

Got referred here by NHS 111 for extreme nerve pain. Was given a timing, but when I got there they said 'it's not an appointment' and to just queue up 'according to procedure'. Then, once I'd already waited for 4 hours was told (after asking at reception) that I'd actually be seen after 5 more hours because there was only one doctor on night shift! Absolute madness! My first time coming here, never again! 'Urgent Treatment Centre' my foot! If you're in extreme pain, don't bother coming here.

The worst hospital I’ve been to it’s happened a few times now 24hrs wait in A and E to see a doctor for a pensioner that is having heart pain. The receptionist staff in all areas of hospital are very rude and want to fob patient off. The start to finish process is very long winded and nobody tells you what there doing with you but just doing it. Not a hospital really because there is no care. Announcement made that there is no injury doctor so if u have an injury go away or go queens hospital we cannot help you, absolutely atrocious.

I was in King George cardiac ward for two months this year. They were amazing and saved my life. They truly were grace under pressure. The nurses and Doctors working had to help and took the time to diagnose something pretty rare. They are under paid and under staffed. Let’s support them more.

I've been sent by NHS 111 to this hospital for an EKG and blood tests due to a heart condition and got there at 3 AM. The personnel at the triage room are indeed rude and seem to hate their job, as other people wrote in the previous comments. They are in fight mode with absolutely everyone, regardless of how you speak to them. After you share all details about yourself and how you feel, they give you a card based on the emergency (green, yellow, red). I was then sent to another part of the hospital where the actual work is done, and the room was absolutely packed with people. I had to again share all the things I've said to the triage. Here the personnel were moving faster. I was taken blood and had an EKG done by an amazing male nurse, super clear and calm and he is the reason I'm giving 1 star to this place (+ for cleanliness). The problem with this hospital is that they had only ONE doctor overnight, we were about 50 people in the waiting room and the queue for results was 11 (!!!!) hours. It got already 6 AM, my heart palpitations were getting worse because of tiredness and when I asked if I could go home, rest and come back for the results, I was told NO, if you leave you will have to start the queue again. I told them to send the results to my GP and they haven't done it for the last three days. I'm paying for NHS and I have a huge respect for what they do, I know they are overworked, tired and overwhelmed, but what is happening to this hospital is absolutely ridiculous.

The staff in the Elm Care Breast Centre are amazing quite frankly. I had been there for tests and consultations and was treated with the utmost of care and compassion. I know people gripe about the NHS, but they are doing the best that they can, and remember these people sign up to do that job because they want to help people, not just because it is a job.
