There’s something truly special about Queen’s Park Bridge — it’s not just a way to cross the River Dee, it’s a moment of calm right in the heart of Chester. The bridge itself is elegant and full of character, with its sweeping iron arches and views that change beautifully with the light. On one side, you can see the tree-lined riverbanks and the rowing boats drifting by; on the other, the spires and rooftops of the old city glinting in the sun. It’s the kind of place that slows you down — perfect for a quiet walk, a thoughtful pause, or simply watching the water sparkle below. At sunset, when the sky glows pink and orange over the Dee, the bridge becomes almost magical. It’s one of those timeless corners of Chester that feels both peaceful and alive, holding its own gentle charm no matter the season Don't forget to buy an ice cream

Needs a good clean and a scrub down because is quite dirty and grubby despite being a beautiful bridge which seems like is in good condition underneath the grime as well. Enjoyed walking over it. Lovely views across the River as well from the halfway point.

Elegant suspension bridge crossing the river Dee, providing good views along the river in both directions. The bridge is very attractive and well maintained, serving not just as a crossing point but also a local landmark. It was designed by Charles Greenwood, and opened to the public in 1923.

Also a beautiful piece of the city of Chester. You can see the beautiful River Dee and its banks. I was impressed by, how it connects the two plateaus of the city, and there are many historical bridges as well. I will comment on them. Indeed, this city deserves to be visited and I recommend it. It deserves five stars and more.

Well what can I say! It's a bridge and a very nice bridge too! It's also great for getting good photos of the Riverside and passing boats. Well worth a visit.

Large suspension bridge that crosses the River Dee. Built in 1923 and replaces a bridge of a similar style in the same spot that was from the 1850's. You can feel the suspension as you walk across the bridge.

This is a lovely iron and wire support bridge built in 1923. It takes you over the river Dee to the homes of the wealthy Georgian and Victorian business people that had their workplaces in the central parts of Chester. It affords picturesque views of the river with various pleasure boats and many varieties of sea birds. You can choose to walk past the beautiful houses or along the riverside and return to central Chester via the older Roman bridge
