Rat In my room & bitten!! Absolutely Disgusting Hotel! Woke up early hours to find a large Rat in my room! Hotel staff Not surprised at all & I had been bitten on my back & damaged property as Rat had been chewing on my property whilst I was out. Hotel owner/manager offered Β£250 compensation but no money received after 10 days & then the compensation was withdrawn by the Hotel?! The matter is with my solicitor. Disgusting Hotel!!!!

The Tudor Hotel is a basic hotel. The exterior looks charming which rather belies the interior of the rooms. Reception staff were welcoming. We were visiting family so just needed a room for one night - we would not have wanted to stay any longer. Our room was listed as 'deluxe' double which is rather a stretch of the imagination. The room itself was large but the decor and furniture are extremely dated and tired. Poor quality fittings and rather shabby carpet. The room was clean with basic extra's such as bottled water (albeit plastic bottle) and tea making which was welcome.

. This restaurant serves mainly Indian cuisine which is really well cooked and prepared. This was our second visit. On the first occasion we began with the starters, but found them to be too spicy for our taste. We therefore opted for sirloin steaks which were on the International part of the menu. We enjoyed them. This time we went for the steaks again, but were disappointed. We found that the quality was definitely lacking, and that the service was mediocre. Besides one other table with 4 people on it, we were the only ones in the restaurant on a Saturday night. We decided that we wouldn't be returning

Had a really good stay here! The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. Staff were welcoming and helpful whenever I had a question. Location is convenient with shops and transport nearby. Overall, a nice and relaxing experience β would happily come back again.

This is a friendly, affordable hotel near a line of surprisingly good shops and within walking distance of the tube. The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff were really helpful, especially the blonde woman at reception who was efficient and so accommodating. The only downside for me is that there are no sockets at the bedside table to allow you to charge a phone while catching up on messages but I have found this in very high end hotels too. I would certainly use this hotel again.

Was there last night. Cheap and cheerful. Left my biker boots in the lobby and a pair of slippers in a grocery bag next to the wing back leather chairs in lobby at bar. Will call in the morning to see if they are still there hopefully! Not sure if they have a lost and found. Breakfast was good too! 5 days later my boots appeared in Manchester from the post by royal mail, life saver! Thank you Tudor hotel. Amazing!!

It's a 500 year old building at its earliest so don't think everything is going to be plumb level. My room was running down one side so a bit of body vertical alignment was necessary. Rooms clean enough abiet basic. Just under a Β£100 a night in the run up to Xmas so not bad.

Great value for money hotel. Staff friendly and willing to help at a drop of a hat. Amazing full English and continental breakfast available. Serves a nice evening meal, albeit from a somewhat limited menu. WiFi kept dropping out whilst in the room.

Room 16 was very compact having to turn sideways to pass the end of the bed to access the bathroom. The TV worked but there wasn't a consistent signal, I reported this to the male receptionist who attended my room and determined that there was possibly a streaming problem. He disappeared leaving me thinking that he would return, sadly he didn't, this left me to have a very quiet and boring evening in my room. The system was working in a neighbouring room. There was no discussion about changing my room. Was it a streaming problem or a hotel issue? The toilet had what looked like urine in the bowl, if it was cleaning fluid it was a poor choice. As others have said the breakfast was great but on cold plates it got cold very quickly. The young lady / waitress was very polite and helpful. Ironically the heating was on when I arrived with the window open and it remained that way all night.
