When we arrived we had to pay up front before we were told where to locate our room. The room was a family room and was located up a set of outside stairs. There were two lights which were not working. The complimentary tray had only one packet of biscuits for the two of us. The only plug for plugging in the kettle was underneath the desk so the kettle was on the floor. Surely a safety hazard as it is a family room. When we visited the restaurant it was like the Marie Celeste with only one other diner. The following morning I had to defrost the stairs hand rail and at breakfast we decided to have a Continental selection. The cereal dispensers had thick dust on the tops! We made our selection of cereals only to discover that the milk in the jug was off!! When we complained we eventually got some fresh milk. We even had to swipe a card before we started breakfast. There was no offer of meat and cheese to go with the cereal and fresh fruit. Overall we would not recommend this establishment.

Do not stay here. We booked after looking after online and the photos are full gaslight. Torn bedspreads. TV has no channels. Battered furniture. Can hear everything from the room next door. Just dirty, tired and dingy place and not to mention pitiful wifi that barely connects. We thought we would try this as our usual hotel was fully booked, what a mistake.

Comfy bed. Bathroom needs replacing, broken tiles etc. Room not cleaned after first night even after leaving request, told by reception would be next day. Non slip mat should be supplied in bath. So glad we booked room with view as probably wouldn't have stayed. Room had patio doors onto terrace with view to sailing club and Thames, beautiful. Potential to be a 5 star if updated as location was brilliant.

Family room was adequate, stains on carpet and scratches over furniture, a few dead bugs in the bath also. Beds however were clean. Hot water was luke warm. Service was friendly, location was lovely, very quiet and beautiful walks around the harbour and local park. High street with shops, pubs, and restaurants a short walk away.

Lovely area. Easy to find and relatively easy to park. Warren Lodge is next to the Thames with excellent views. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Some require access via steps. The menu while not overly extensive offers reasonable choice and the food is cooked to perfection

Stayed here for a visit to Thorpe Park and its a great location, really picturesque right on the river Thames. 2 downsides: radiator was stuck on making the room too hot. Walls are paper thin so we didn't get much sleep the first night as there was a VERY loud and enthusiastic couple next door to us.

Every time we have eaten at the Warren Lodge we have thoroughly enjoyed the experience but Alison and the team go all out to make Christmas Day lunch special. We had a great dinner and a wonderful time. Well recommended.

On the positive side, the service at the reception was fast and friendly. Good size and clean single bedroom, comfortable single bed, hot water in the shower, kettle with some biscuits. There was even an ironing board in case you are on a business trip, which is handy. On the negative side, the parking is very busy and you might not find a spot. You cannot park on the main road either. The hotel begs for refurbishment. Leaky shower hose. The bedroom is not sound proof, I could hear every step in the corridors and the people talking in the next bedroom even though they were not loud. My sleeping was interrupted so many times because of the noisy stairs. At 5 am I heard the TV in the next bedroom as if it was in my room. For a budget hotel, there are cheaper options out there that provide more comfortable accommodation and

Lovely and quirky place. Room was clean and had all/plenty of necessities. Really friendly and accommodating staff. Lovely food at great value (I had steak and they even had vegan ice cream!) Thank you for a lovely stay! :)

The reviews are correct- should be 1 or 2 stars at most - staff are too busy with to deal with guests. Passive aggressive - a full fawlty towers comedy experience. The Jamaican family being barked at with β€œwhite or brown” ,young family being charged for a full breakfast for a child - beds not made - all this would be fine if they were in any way friendly - I commented that I had stayed there 40 years ago and just got off a long flight from Australia greeted by the manager( basil) with a shrug, no customer experience skills. Great location and should /could be great with just some care. The owners must know that they are the only place left after the anchor shut across the road. Netflix studios opening nearby will give the Americans a horror show of appalling service.
