Didn't even empty the bin or make the bed. Cleanish, but I have known a lot cleaner. Wouldn't stay here again.
Rooms are as you would expect for a Travelodge so nothing amazing. The rooms on the road side are relatively noisy and the windows don't really block this out. Parking is also a separate charge.
The vending machine took my money and didn't give me any snacks. Staff so unhelpful. Said I needed to contact the number on the vending machine. Of course it was out of hours anyway. Not even bothered to check if it's working or anything, so it could just keep happening to people. The place goes down in my estimation with their I don't care it's not my problem sort of attitude.
Just a depressing place. With a little more attention to cleaning it might have been fine, but this place doesn't make you happy. I have heard that this is one of the better Travelodges which only makes me dread in horror to imagine what the others must be like. Carpets in the hallway are not vacuumed frequently enough and it shows. Also the carpet in the room didn't look the cleanest. That this hotel doesn't have air con is one thing, another is that this hotel has very poor ventilation, once you arrive at the 2nd floor you can really smell that there is a lack of any mechanical ventilation. The first thing you smell once you enter room is also not great. Positives were that furniture in the room was new and bed was clean but everything else feels neglected, water pressure in the shower isn't great either. You could survive a day or two here, any longer would really be mental torture. Not recommended.
Great service and price. The room was clean and a good size. They charge for parking & WiFi. The only major drawback was the room I had situated facing the motorway so naturally lots of noise till past midnight and then lots of traffic noice again from 5am in the morning. The windows were not sealed or double glazed. So it was quiet touch to sleep more than 5/6 hrs.
Room is warm. Bathroom is very practical. Breakfast at £9.75 is worth it as it's just a lift journey to it. Hotel staff are helpful. It's good as your left alone by everyone & you can come & go as you please?
Good staff, they helped me with my luggage, responded to me immediatly when i needed a cleaner for the bathroom. This is the best Travelodge i stayed in. Most staff are very helpful and friendly. Rooms are good n clean.
I stayed here for 2 nights with my friend. I must say that it was a wonderful experience. The room was spacious and clean, it have a TV, kettle, mugs and everything you will need in a hotel room. The bathroom is clean and well-maintained. Nice view as well. The unlimited breakfast selections are nice. It was a pleasant stay.
Over, over, over...... priced..... Staff at the reception not very interested to help, they just hiding at the back and chatting (yes, you can hear at the front...) Rooms need some renovation and refurbishment but first of all they need some cleaning, they not hoovering the rooms, feel very dirty and unhygienic, there is a mould in the corners in shower, on my first day i had dirty mug and teaspoon then not been replaced on another day. Very bad experience, it used to be cheapest hotel-chain probably because of this but the price went up 3-4 times but the "dirty" standard remained the same. Definitely will not recommend this place and definitely will not stay there again.
