   The room was comfortable, and we received a free room upgrade. The room was also neat and clean. Sunita, a staff member, was very helpful and gave us clear details about the hotel and nearby viewpoints.

   I stayed at the hotel with my family. The reception gave us a warm welcome when we arrived. We booked a room having one twin bed and one single bed viewing the garden. At first, I thought the room was a bit small. However, it turned out to be just the right room for us. We love the room decor which gives a cozzy feeling. The hotel staff serving breakfast were really nice. I like the way how the hotel keeps in touch with us before and after leaving. The hotel is less than 10 mins by walk to town center. We will definitely come back next time!

   ​From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was wonderful. The staff were very friendly, making me feel instantly welcome. The entire place was spotlessly clean. Plus, the location is great. ​A special shout-out must go to Scarlet, who was an absolute star. Her wonderful service and cheerful attitude made my trip memorable. ​And finally, the food was excellent. If you're looking for superb hospitality, great food, and a perfect base for your trip, look no further. This place is highly recommended.

   I stayed last night for a business trip. Considering this was one of the more affordable hotels, I was impressed by The Mandolay. Great rooms. Attentive staff and great bar / dining area. Only small critique was the showers aren't the largest, but no issues whilst I was there.

   I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and have enjoyed many of the rooms. They all have character, lovely coloring, and very comfy beds and pillows. The service is always exceptional, and the breakfast is fantastic. I think the service and breakfast is better than other hotels in the area that I’ve also stayed at. Sunita in particular always looks out for me on my visits, greeting with the warmest welcome and is super helpful and caring.

   I warn you, they take take £50 deposit which is NOT clearly explained when you use the online pre check in form. Form says it will "take a small charge" - I even bothered to scan the form for the terms before accepting but the £50 bit was not described Highly inconvenient if you use certain cards because it actually takes the money so I now can't use that money to spend on my dinner tonight. Explained this to hotel, all they do is go on about how it is policy - which seems very detached from customer service. I had a last minute need to get a hotel because I cannot drive, I only have a little bit of money because it's nearly pay day. Now most of my money I had left is gone and I won't get it back until 2-3 days after checkout. Edit: I have since had a phone call from the hotel and the manager tried out the online form himself and saw that it does not say £50 either, so he offered me a free breakfast (as I had already gotten dinner) for my trouble and free room upgrade. I really appreciated this so have risen my review rating to reflect this. It would have been nicer to have been taken more seriously the first time I rang of course. My feedback for hotel: - Make £50 in big, unmissable letters on the online check-in. If you are sick of people complaining, do something about it so we can more easily see this. - Be more flexible dealing with customer complaints - I have a special scenario it was difficult to be heard on the matter. Great for this to then be followed up though and be called back, thank you for hearing me.

   Amazing service!! The hotel is amazing! Went for a short stay for a cosy room and was worth the price. The room was equipped with good facilities to use such as a kettle, snacks, and toiletries. The staff are friendly and there was always a staff at reception to help us with anything. The hotel also let us leave our luggage there so by the end of the day we could collect it.

   Went for afternoon tea to celebrate mum's birthday. Had a lovely afternoon. Lauren looked after us and was very helpful and attentive. The food was very tasty we couldn't finish it all ended up taking scones and pastries home. Was a really lovely table service the setting was quiet we had a corner table and just relaxed and enjoyed our time.

   Check if there is an evening event before booking. I was faced with a ground floor room, right next to the exit of the events venue downstairs, to a law rewards events that had attendees up smashing about the corridors and external side access from midnight until 4AM. It didn't seem like the hosts nor the hotel were controlling the behaviour of their venue guests. In addition, I turned up to check into my room early evening to find my room was not made up at all since the previous guest. The service to rectify was swift, however I received nothing in return for the inconvenience.

   Stayed just the one night. Found it quite noisy but not unbearable. The room was clean and well maintained. The breakfast buffet was very tasty. All staff looked to be hardworking. Special praise to Mitch who was particularly helpful. Would definitely recommend.
