   The Angel is right in the middle of town so great for going out and not having to walk far. Rooms were enormous good shower nice comfortable bed with high quality bedding. Our room.was quite a walk from reception and involved the levels and twists and turns. Very confusing. There was no bar and breakfast is in BILLS which adjoins the hotel so this is not cheap English breakfast toast and coffee £20 and no parking at all public car parks only although they were cheap £4.50 for 24 hours.

   Couldnt ask for a better location within Guildford. Was immediately greeted with a smile and the offer to take my bags. The room was palatial. This is an excellent hotel, perfect for any occasion.

   Lovely hotel suite, didn't realise I would be getting a sitting room as well as a double en suite so that was a nice surprise. The rooms were clean and airy and despite being on the high street there wasn't a lot of noise to keep me up. The bed was one of the comfiest I've slept on and in the morning there was a violinist in the high street which really made the morning cozy.

   A beautiful , quirky, town centre building with some of the issues you would expect in a building of its’ age( lots of stairs, low water pressure in some rooms) however the staff are what make this place special . Extremely helpful and prompt in dealing with requests. Shalini was outstanding, friendly, going above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable. Symantec was also very helpful and friendly. This will be our first choice hotel when staying in Guildford.

   Our en suite room was a good size, nice and clean, and with all the usual facilities provided. We were at the back of the hotel, which was nice and quiet, albeit something of walk from the hotel entrance. One minor complaint would be the lack of a dressing table mirror. The high street location make it perfect for touring Guildford.

   We stayed here for the second time this year as loved it so much. It is a beautiful hotel, gorgeous historic rooms with spacious bathrooms, very comfortable beds. The Angel bar is great fun to go in the evening and enjoy music and cocktails. Guildford as a town has a lot to offer and after a busy day exploring Guildford you can enjoy a restful night sleep in a beautiful period room. The reception staff on arrival were brilliant and the staff in the evening and at checkout were brilliant. Professional and friendly and very welcoming. Looking forward staying here again soon.

   There is a cocktail and cabaret bar in the middle of this hotel, it is incredibly loud and in extremely close proximity to all rooms. The rooms are a good size as are the beds but you won't be getting to sleep anytime before midnight.

   Rated four star by the AA which I think is generous but nonetheless a lovely old, even historic, hotel that various past luminaries have visited including Charles Dickens and Lady Chatterley. Extremely convenient to everything in Guildford being located in the middle almost of the High Street. Front facing rooms are single glazed and quite noisy. Comfortable and clean.

   Room was a bit tatty a needed a spring clean. Shower didn't work (no water at all) and bath barely worked (took 5 mins to run a few cm of water). Fair bit of noise in the morning as metal tables and chairs were dragged around in the street outside. WiFi intermittent. Good central location. Comfy bed. Person on reception friendly and welcoming. Interesting, historic building. Note: No breakfast or parking if that's important to you. Also given very old building, access to some rooms would be tricky if you have mobility issues (uneven floors, low ceilings, unexpected steps, winding stairs).
