One of our oldest friends decided to have their winter pub wedding here at the Worplesdon and what a magical day it was. The team were incredible, their attention to detail, understanding of true hospitality and how to go the extra mile blew us away. To have a wedding in a proper english pub, with delicious food and that proper welcoming atmosphere that only pubs have was truly special. On top of all that the rooms were stunning, the, the space was versatile and the lake-side setting was beautiful. Thank you so much!

My first stay at the Worplesdon Place Hotel - not disappointed. Very pleasant location - accommodation clean and very presentable. Staff polite, friendly and very helpful. My only negative comments are that marmalade was not available at breakfast and the basin in the bathroom did not have a plug. All in all though, I would recommend the hotel and its staff to those thinking of staying there.

I had a lovely meal with my 2 sisters, for our annual Christmas meet. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Kate who served us was helpful, efficient, friendly and made the whole experience top class. Thank you so much!

Really nice hotel with great staff. We had an evening meal there as well as breakfast and the food was lovely. We had one issue with the room, no hot water in the morning but another room was made available straight away to have a shower. Thanks to the staff for reacting so quickly. The bathrooms are a little dated, no lights around the mirror so you were always in shade from the lighting behind. We didn't have time to look around the garden and lake but it looked lovely from what we saw, probably a great place on a nice summer's day.

Gentleman that checked us in was very friendly and professional. I had dinner in the restaurant in the evening and it was tasty. My room (23) was in the annex section and despite turning the radiator off at the valve it remained on and it made the room really warm and difficult to sleep, there is a notice in the room that did state to use the valve to adjust the heating but if there is a problem with the heating to let staff know, so they are already aware there is an issue here. But I had been on road travelling the entire day and needed to rest so didnt speak to any staff to switch the heating off to my room. Also the bathroom could do with a blind in the window, with the shower it took a minute to heat up so i cranked it hotter and then it comes out scolding hot, when I tried to turn it back down to cold the water did not go cold again so had to stop using the shower as it was just far too hot and i felt i was getting burnt. There is clearly plumbing issues here. But the bed was comfy. If you get assigned room 23 I would suggest you ask for an alternative room. The decor inside the hotel is very pleasant. Breakfast is tasty and the morning coffee is delicious. There was just one member of staff on her own last week on Friday morning, there was also a group in house at breakfast and a fault happened with the coffee machine and all this was clearly stressing her out which i found out when i approached and asked for a coffee and got a snappy reply. Perhaps another member of staff to help with breakfast service should be brought in when you have a group at breakfast.

As a person with strong food allergies, I am cautious eating out. However I must shout out to Lorna and the chef at the Worplesdon, both of whom went over and above to make sure I was not only accommodated but had an excellent meal. Lorna made me feel welcome (and not a pain as is the case in other places) and I am very grateful. The food was hot, delicious and exceptional. THANK YOU

Stayed for 2 nights as working in the area. Didn't spend much time at the hotel but the room was comfortable and clean. There is a nice atmosphere in the 'pub' and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. I have stayed many times over the last few years and never had any complaints to make. The location is great particularly in the summer with black swans on the lake and a very pleasant are to sit and have a drink or a meal outside.

Beautiful location with friendly, accommodating staff and amazing food! The room was very comfortable with everything you could possibly need - coffee, snacks, water, TV etc’. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay! Highly recommend :)

We used Worplesdon Place for a group room booking for our wedding in August 2022. The rooms were excellent and the staff were exceptionally helpful, even printing our speeches for us on the wedding morning. The feature room that the Bridal party used was incredibly spacious and perfect for them to prepare for the wedding day. We also had a private dining room for 30+ guests the night before the wedding, the food and service again were both superb. Would highly recommend. Thank you!
