If you like to be able to actually socialize and catch up CHAT to people, DON'T GO HERE for a Christmas party. The DJ's music was loud enough so you couldn't hear each other talk. Then he ramped the music up so much I had to leave. I probably missed the coffee cos I had to leave. The food was okay...but not okay enough for £55 a head. The Salmon was dry...the portion wasn't great. And the cracker was a cheap quality. Considering the price of the event per person. ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT. I won't be coming back.

We stayed at this hotel for just one night before visiting the Harry Potter Studio Tour, and overall it was a cozy and pleasant stay. A few points to mention: the reception staff did not seem very enthusiastic about their work, and check-in took a bit longer than expected — over 20 minutes before we were given our room. As a Diamond member, I found the room we received to be quite small compared with other Hilton-brand stays. That said, the positives were strong. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet—although simple—had a charming little Harry Potter–themed corner for children, which was a lovely touch. The highlight of our stay was the chef. We asked for vegetarian sausages, and he personally came out to bring them to us. I also saw him checking on other tables, making sure guests were happy. This kind of personal attention in food & beverage is rare nowadays, and it adds a lot of warmth and care to the experience. It’s refreshing to see the person behind the food stepping out to greet guests and make sure their needs are met. In summary, despite a few small issues at reception, the hotel offers clean rooms, a cozy environment, and excellent service from the kitchen team. A good option for families visiting the Harry Potter studios.

So we loved our stay here for two nights. Ordered the free delivery room service on both nights. The second night the food wasn’t quite as good as the first, but I mentioned this to them and they refunded a part of the order which I was not expecting. The service and staff are excellent, and the room was very clean. Nothing to complain about and it’s very easy to park here in charge your electric car.

I wrote a long review for this hotel a while ago it was quite a while ago now but Google didn't post my review because it didn't meet whatever standard it was supposed to me but I wasn't rude and I was honest so instead of writing a long review I'm just going to write a short paragraph if even that. When I stayed here it stated that it was supposed to have air conditioning as I knew their conditioning for a medical condition but when I arrived the air conditioning I was not working I wasn't existent I'm not sure if it even had air conditioning but it wasn't working when I was there. I tried to say this previously obviously it was much more organised it was a better review but I attached a picture of their website to show it was supposed to have air conditioning but it didn't have it and I was upset and that's all I Really wrote so I'm just reposting this to say that my experience was negative because the air conditioning wasn't working or it didn't have air conditioning even though the site said that I should have it I saw I was upset. I didn't recommend the hotel for that reason.

We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary with a stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Borehamwood, and it was truly unforgettable. From the moment we booked, the team went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Their support and kindness—even before we arrived—set the tone for a wonderful experience. We stayed in an accessible room, which was spotlessly clean, tidy, and thoughtfully laid out. It made our stay comfortable and stress-free, which we really appreciated. The restaurant staff were outstanding—warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, and the beautifully organised presentation made our anniversary feel extra special. Every detail reflected care and professionalism. Thank you to everyone who helped make our stay so memorable. We left with full hearts and beautiful memories—and we’ll definitely be returning.

One night for business- first time visit. Great looking room and bathroom. Shower very small but otherwise very good for comfortable stay. Restaurant experience less impressive - a bit like Premier Inn tbh. Staff tried to be helpful but a bit chaotic. Morning buffet standard quality.

Arrived on a week day to spend a night for my girlfriend's birthday to visit the Harry Potter studios. There was a party on and unfortunately our room was above it so the music and bass was very loud throughout our room. I asked reception when it finished and they told me 11pm. Past 11 it was still going so we asked to be moved to another room. They said they were fully booked and I asked what time it will actually finish. Turns out it was planned to finish at 1am and people were still arriving for the party when I was in reception at nearly midnight. I don't understand why they would keep guests up that late who are here for business or other early mornings on a week night. They told me there was nothing they could do and wouldn't give me a refund. The most annoying thing is lying to my face the first time I asked just to avoid the issue they knew it would cause. Terrible start to what was supposed to be a nice trip and has absolutely ruined my girlfriend's birthday so far. Judging from other responses on here they seem to just reply with a copy paste generic response. I hope they actually do something about it and offer a refund.

Very good food, good services, there is a gas station and food store very close to the location (3min walk). There is a bus station, but there is no Underground or train station. The location is right next to the motorway. The hotel does not have any playground, so it is quite boring for kids. Excelent breakfast buffet!

A great welcome on check in, the warm cookie always appreciated. Rooms was so clean and beautifully decorated. I was also very pleasantly surprised by my personalised message and token for a free drink, great extra touch for Gold Members. The gym is well equipped and nice and quiet when I arrived. Breakfast buffet was very tasty. Very easy to get to from M1, M25 and A1. Brilliant stay, thanks so much.
