Honestly I was pretty skeptical at first because of the negative reviews, but they were totally wrong. The staff were super nice, the room was clean and comfy, and the price is great for the location. Plus it’s only a 2 min walk to the bus stop. Definitely my go to place whenever I’m in London!!!!!
Terrible Experience — Dirty Room, Misleading Photos, and No Refund! I checked into Simply Rooms & Suites and was completely disappointed. The room smelled awful, had mosquitoes, and looked nothing like the pictures online. The bed was in very poor condition, the floor was cracking, and the water heater looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for ages. I contacted the staff right away, but they were rude and refused to refund my money, even though I couldn’t stay there. The place is not maintained, not hygienic, and totally misleading. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this property — it’s not worth the price or the hassle.
If you like clean don’t stay here! The service and the cleanliness of our room was shocking to say the least. Inches of dust and grime under the bed. The little kitchen counter behind the cooktop had an inch of dust on it! We stayed here for 10 days. If I were paying for this room myself, we wouldn’t have stayed here for more than 1 night! FILTHY!
We stayed 6 nights to be fair I found the hotel not that bad the bed was a bit uncomfy so we used that black sheet on top of mattress which made a difference. The rooms was clean tidy they provided soap and shampoo it comes with a hairdryer iron ironing board. To turn side lights on you'll see some tiny buttons where those side lights are. The staff are really nice and it was handy for the launderette too. Only down side was is that I needed to be in Hammersmith and on booking.com that's what's it's advertised has but it's in west Kensington.
I stayed at this hotel for around four days. Overall, the staff were cooperative and polite, which I appreciated. However, the bed sheets were not clean — I had to dispose of some just to feel safe and hygienic enough to sleep. There was also visible mold in several areas of the bathroom, including the shower, water tap, and wall edges. Additionally, I found some insects inside the room, which was concerning. I spent around 9 to 11 hours outside the hotel each day exploring London, because I felt that staying in the room for extended periods (other than for sleep) might pose a risk to my health.
Excellent value for money, very clean. Shower excellent. Well placed for the Olympia tube and bus stops. Staff very helpful. Plenty of places to eat locally. Good pub close by. Recomended
Very good for the money. Yes, there are some rough edges when you start looking about - mainly the en-suite. But, everything is perfectly usable with no issues. No noise from other rooms and area was very quiet. Will use again.
Good-size room, clean and comfortable. Excellent WiFi, good enough for having Zoom meetings all day long without any issues.
Negatives - Insects were found on the pillow, bedding was not clean at all; look like they had been used but not washed and cleaned yet. Dirty towels given in the bathroom by the hotel. Cleanliness very bad and disappointing. Small room and narrow space, not enough room for my suitcase, lots of dust on the floor; very uncomfortable to stay. No lift in the hotel, I was carrying a BIG suitcase and climb stairs to the top floor. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED!!! Positives - only the AC is alright
My 1-night experience was excellent. I was able to leave my luggage all day while I explored, and then I was given a room on the ground floor, so I did not have to climb stairs with a suitcase. The location is down a quiet street, which meant a peaceful night. My room had a microwave, sink (with dish soap and sponge), small fridge, some dishes and a well-stocked tea tray. There were international plugs for charging devices. While the bathroom was small, and did not have things like shampoo and conditioner, it was clean and functional. The price I paid for the room was good value for what I got and where I was located. NOTE: the closest tube stop is Kensington Olympia, which only has service on weekends and holidays.
