Normally this hotel would be a good 3 or lower 4 star rating. What this hotel made a 5 star rating is very easy: the perfect and excellent service of everybody + the iconic style! Typical older English hotel. This hotel must stay in this style, with its furniture. That’s iconic! Outstanding! However old must be not be bad, if it’s maintenance is top notch and perfectly cleaned. That was the case, except for the carpet: wet cleaners shall be used more often. (However little typical for that kind of hotels, still using carpet everywhere). We had a lovely time there and will come back for sure!

I stayed here one night. My stay was comfortable. There was the usual tea and coffee with a kettle in the room but no water. I used my own bottle of water to make my cup of tea. It would be nice to have complimentary water for the price I paid for one night. Nice smelling shower gel. There was an iron in my room. Not a huge room but comfortable with a double bed.

Stayed several nights there with a friend from oversea around 14th of February 2025. The receptionist was welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was included and it's a good chance for us to try British breakfast. However, the catering lady who was in charge of taking orders was rude, yelling at Aisan customers instead of giving polite instructions. Also, she was inpatient to forgin customers and failed to understand what customer exactly want to order. She brought us too much toast which was two times than we ordered.

Just had a fantastic stay at the Best Western Swiss Cottage hotel. Our room was fabulous, high ceilings, loads of room to move about and everything you need as if you were at home. The staff were great, a big shout out to Erika, Beatria and Tashala on reception for being so friendly and making our stay a memorable one. Staff in the breakfast room were also amazing and worked so hard. Breakfast itself was the best hotel breakfast we have had. We stayed 2 nights for concerts at the Roundhouse, so easy to get to the venue and around London. The underground a few steps from the hotel and bus stops are around the corner. We felt very safe here and everything was on the doorstep. We can't praise this hotel and the staff enough, we will be back. Thank you Best Western.

I stayed at the Best Western Hotel Swiss Cottage for one night. The location is great — quiet street and close to the Tube, which makes getting around London very easy. The building has a charming old-style feel. However, the rooms are on the smaller side and a bit dated. The bed was fine for a short stay, but the walls are thin, so you can hear noises from the corridor and neighboring rooms. The bathroom was clean, but could use some modernizing. Staff were polite, but service felt a little rushed. Breakfast was okay, but not memorable. Overall, it’s fine for a night or two if you want a convenient location and reasonable price, but don’t expect luxury or modern amenities.

The hotel is in a nice area and very close to a metro station, though for bars/restaurants you’d need to explore a bit further. Overall a quiet area, nice old building and very reasonably priced for London! We were very happy with our stay. Obviously it’s an old building and not in pristine condition, but overall still very lovely

Camden Reviews ★☆☆☆☆
This place is beyond poor and disgusting, tiny room as small as a single room, carpets smell funny and so dirty, toilet looks like a nursing home toilet. It’s so old and creepy. I would come here even if someone paid me. Absolutely disgusting place. Only good thing about this place is location. Apart from that it’s nasty.

When we got into our room, on the 25th of December, the windows were open and the heating was off: it was freezing and not a nice welcome. In the bathroom there was no toothpaste and when we asked for some they brought us a very tiny one, for one person only. The pillows are cheap and nasty, and very uncomfortable. The heating water pipe makes a lot of noise because it's old and dirty. There was a lot of loud door slamming from other guests and the cleaners all night and morning that didn't let us sleep. Our Xmas night was spoilt because of the low standard of this hotel which has prices that aren't justified. I will not go back there again and I won't recommend it to anyone who has any standards.
