Slightly disappointed with our stay. The hotel is literally in between stations, so no matter which one you come from, it’s at least a 10‑minute walk — not great in the middle of winter when it’s freezing. Our room was on ground level and incredibly small. The biggest issue was the lack of basic furniture: no table, no desk, no chair, and no proper closet. Just a tiny rack with three hangers, which wasn’t enough for both of our winter coats and bags. There were also three wall hooks, but they were already coming loose, so basically useless. With no luggage rack or anywhere to put things, we had to open our suitcases on the floor every time we needed something. The small windows looked directly out onto the car park, so there was zero privacy. We had to keep the curtains closed the entire time, which made the room feel even smaller and darker. The WiFi was terrible — being on ground level and far from the router meant my iPhone couldn’t connect at all, and my iPad only worked intermittently. For a five‑night stay, I really expected a more comfortable setup. We also noticed a cockroach bait under the radiator, which was pretty unsettling. We kept our suitcases closed the whole time because of that. The keypad system for the room was inconvenient, and the main door to our building wasn’t even locked, which didn’t feel secure. For over £100 a night, it didn’t feel like good value. On the positive side, the room stayed very warm during the cold weather, and the free coffee in the lobby was a nice touch. But overall, the stay wasn’t as comfortable as we hoped.

I had a disappointing experience with the housekeeping staff. The staff responsible for room cleaning and changing bedsheets were very loud and unprofessional. They were constantly talking, laughing, and arguing among themselves in the guest areas, which created unnecessary noise and disturbance. As I was staying for business work, this affected my concentration and peace. Hospitality staff should maintain basic professionalism, respect guests, and ensure a calm environment. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and provides proper training and supervision to their staff, as the hotel itself has great potential.

We came for just 1 night here and it was a very nice hotel. The beds are a good size and all was very clean and tidy. The man in the reception was very nice and we got an early check in. It is in a residential area, so it's ideal if you want to be a bit far from the messy city. Only issue is that the rooms have the same number code on the doors and we made a mistake and got inside the wrong one. Luckily the people from that room was not there. But this is not acceptable when you leave your valuable things inside the room, anybody can open your door basically.

The cleaning staff accidentally left the door to our room open. I mean open as in visibly open so that anyone in the hallway could have walked in while we were out and getting their hands on passports etc. An honest mistake, but nonetheless an acceptable one at a hotel. When we brought this up with the receptionist, we were met with poor service and no apology. Otherwise, it’s a charming hotel with a good location. Noisy from the street, which is heavily trafficked, but that’s to be expected in London. The hotel has recently changed owners. I stayed here in June.

A shame- stay here quite a lot for work, this time they only had singled so that’s what I booked. My boyfriend also booked a separate room which was paid for but he came and stayed in mine. We had a knock on the door at 4am to remind us that he ‘had his own room’ bizarre- not quite sure why we were being monitored or why they were bothered which bed we were sleeping in when he had paid for 2 rooms. Fire alarm also went off at 9am and wasn’t switched off for about half an hour which was then followed by a visit to tell us off about the fire alarm which had nothing to do with us and then followed by another visit to tell us that checkout was at 11am and this was at 9.30. All in all an absolute bizarre stay and wouldn’t recommend.

A very nice 2 night stay, the room is spacious, clean and bright and very practical. The hotel is very clean and chic, you can find around many bus stops, cafes, parks and a little further shopping.

Note: coming from an American on a business trip, first time in the UK. Location was amazing, super close to bus stops and coffee shops. Service was awful. I showed up after traveling internationally for 10 hours, and they wouldn't let me into my room because I wasn't the one that booked it. The woman there tried to be helpful, but the guy was basically ready to kick me out on the street at midnight just because my room was booked under my boss's name. I was literally crying in the waiting room with my luggage and he did not care. And the room was disappointing. No instructions on how to use the A/C, so I sweat profusely my first night there. (Figured it out the second day.) And I understand the rooms are all small, but I swear I got the closet — twin size bed, little standing space, and forget about wanting to stretch your limbs in the bathroom. Once you're in, the sink, toilet, and shower confine you into a single position until you go back to the closet part of the room. Overall, not happy with my experience, and it was an awful first experience in London.

I recently stayed at this property for 7 nights, and stayed in 4 different rooms. What I liked: * The staff - What I really liked about this location was the wonderful staff! I don't remember all their names unfortunately, but Joe was wonderful and helped me with my suitcases when I first checked in. I had just moved to the country the week I stayed here, so the hospitality of your staff really made me feel welcome. There was another male member of your staff who worked night shifts who also helped me with my bags. * The location - It was just perfect. You can get to Camden town in 20 minutes if you're walking. All the major bus stops are within a 5 minute walking distance. There are a few good food options nearby - Bread by Bike was fantastic, and so was Aspendos grill. I frequently grabbed smoothis/fruit juices/acai bowls from Portobello. I went to Koyo(coffeeshop+workspace) while I waited for my check-in time. * Safety - I was traveling alone, and this location felt perfectly safe. The building is passcode protected (with a bit long passcodes which can be annoying, but i understand it means better safety). The area felt safe as well even late at night. * General/Amenities - I've stayed at Sonder properties in the US & Canada, and i really like the consistency in terms of the quality of rooms & services I can expect. I like the essentials closet you have, which is very thoughtful. Your cleaning crew does a fantastic job. I can alsosee how some people would find the bathrooms very small, though it was not really an issue for me. Just constructive feedback, I love Sonder and I would stay at your properties in every city where you have hotels: * I stayed at this property for 7 nights, and I needed some flexibility with the dates. I couldn't extend my dates in the same room I was staying in even though I booked the same room/fare type. The staff was really nice about communicating this, but I really wish I did not have to keep changing rooms every other day. Suggestion: Guests don't receive check-in information until 1 day before their check-in date, so it would be great if you could prioritize guests who are already at the property and want to extend dates in their same room. It would be a reasonable ask to have your current guests give your team a 2-day heads up about their extension, so you can shuffle your new guests accordingly. As someone who travels a lot for work, I know most hotels do this, and this would make Sonder an even better choice for travellers who need that flexibility * The AC in the back building I stayed in had stopped working, so that was very uncomfortable. The customer service folks did provide a partial refund, and a gentleman from your staff provided Fans for those 2 days and then shifted me to an upgraded room for the next day. No suggestion here - appreciate the refund, this stuff happens and I understand its not in your control. * The main building actually shakes occasionally when heavy vehicles pass by. This, combined with the noise from the traffic made my stay in the road-facing rooms very uncomfortable at night. Suggestion: Sound proof rooms. * An elevator in your builds would be a fantastic addition! The stairs are so narrow & twisted, so it was pretty hard to get suitcases up & down.

We had an amazing stay! Checking in was super quick and easy, the staff helped us to store our luggage until we could enter our room. The room was very nice and clean, felt very homey and spacious. The bathroom was good but wouldn’t recommend for a longer stay if space is very important to you. Air conditioning was very easy to use and cooled down very quickly, which was great since we had 34 degrees outside. The bed was very comfortable and I can’t agree with other peoples comments on the mattress being too hard. The location was good, astonishingly quiet for being close to the center. With multiple bus lines u could travel very easily to kings cross and further. The bakery “bread by bike” had great coffee and baked goods within walking distance (3 minutes). Checking out staff helped us again to store our luggage until we had to get our flight. All in all we didn’t want to leave and me and my mom would love to come back as quick as possible. Thank u so much Sonder!! I’m looking forward to future stays in different locations ✈️❤️
