   This hotel is only a 2 minute walk from king’s cross station which is ideal! On arriving, the staff on the front desk were so welcoming and helpful (the desk is 24 hour so good if travelling alone!!). Our twin room was perfect with cute double doors we could open, it was clean, tea and coffee provided and the tv had netflix! I stayed with my friend and then alone and both nights i felt comfortable and safe! this hotel really is the perfect place if you are wanting to explore london and want somewhere accessible and affordable!

   I stayed at the Agar Hotel near King's Cross/ St Pancras. It is a budget hotel and the experience aligns with the low price. The room was extremely small, and the overall cleanliness was acceptable but not high. The bathroom was the best feature and was modern compared to the rest of the room. The walls were very thin, and noise from other rooms was noticeable throughout the stay, though road noise was minimal. There was a slight odour in the room, and the toilet paper was coarse. The bed was serviceable, though it left me feeling slightly itchy, which may have been psychological rather than an actual issue. Heating worked well. The TV functioned properly. The Wi-Fi was slow and unreliable. There is minimal service on-site; the hotel does not provide catering, and there was no available cutlery aside from one teaspoon in the room. Check-in and check-out were straightforward. For a one-night stay near the station, the hotel is adequate, but it is very much a "you get what you pay for" experience.

   Don’t trust the Expedia ‘good’ rating and not do your research before booking, like i did. I’m sorry for the staff and owners to be writing this, who are lovely! This is a budget hotel. And the staff try their best to make it nice. They provide bottled water, it’s clean, the bed is comfy and the location is on point! WiFi works fine. Basement rooms have no light, but no biggie. I stayed in L6. If that was the situation and this is where the review ended, for the price, easy 5*. But having to go to work the next day with my clothes smelling of damp?! It’s awful. So my budget stay is going to follow me around for this whole day. With this issue in the hotel, it makes it somewhere I won’t book again, even at the budget price point. It needs a full renovation to deal with that issue but I guess that’ll put the price up.. I’ve stayed in similar looking hotels before at a similar price. Its fine for a night but I can’t deal with damp clothes I’m afraid. And I would have informed the staff, but no one was on the desk in the morning when I left.

   It is what it is. More like a hostel but if you are getting an early Eurostar train it'll do. Rooms are very small and very basic bud he beds are amazing. So comfy. If you have an ensuite they are very small. Steps up the floors are steep and no lift available. Rooms definitely need to be painted and touched up to make them look up to spec comparing to others locally. It does the job if you just need a bed, but may be worth paying a bit more and going to premier inn or Travelodge.

   Good place for a short stay. The rooms are a bit old and you can hear noise from other rooms, but the service is excellent: daily cleaning, fresh towels, bottled water, and very friendly staff. Great location to get around London, although the King’s Cross area has quite a few homeless people and may not feel very safe at night.

   Stayed here a few weeks ago and all was spot on. We had a triple room in the basement and it was warm and cozy, had clearly been recently refurbished and was perfect for our needs. Two separate beds, one double, one single, a small amount of clothing space and a modern, if small, shower room and toilet. It's important that people have realistic expectations with these types of townhouse property. This is an old property, with many original features and is a little bit of a maze inside. Getting down to our room, there was a twisty, narrow staircase. I am partially sighted, but my mobility is good so it was no issue for me. We were two female fiends sharing a room. There was a fire exit outside the room door and I felt glad to have someone staying with me, because the roomwas very quiet and felt a long way from reception. If there had been any issues with anyone trespassing down the basement steps, it may have been unnerving - but thankfully it seems like a really quiet area, and the room had a sturdy lock so that was really re-assuring. These are the sorts of issues that it's important to understand when you book. If the hotel does not already have CCTV in those areas, it could be something to look into to make it feel even safer. Staff were helpful and courteous. Nothing was too much trouble and they always said hello to us as we came and went. The price we paid was outstanding given the location in relation to the stations and underground. My friend and I both said we'd definitely stay there again.

   Location is good for taking trains. The guy at the front, bless his heart, is nice. This is a terribly claustrophobic hotel. Space is tight. The pictures of the rooms are misleading. There is just enough room for the tiny bed. I understand that real estate is at a premium in london but they really should warn people about how incredibly small the rooms are. I think it is a good hotel for backpackers. I am also at fault for not recognizing this was one of those really small hotels. I booked another hotel. Paid them. Checked out 1 hour after I checked in.

   Great value and great location. Unfortunately when I stayed, I was on the first floor where there was a man arguing- playing music- and MCing (he referred to himself as an MC several times) on the landing and in the room next door (the walls are very thin). The hotel was newly renovated and they provided a room at short notice at a good price which was appreciated but as a woman in the room alone I didn't feel safe. I had a balcony shared with the room next door (where the man was staying) and the external window/ door leading to this didn't lock. The door on the room didn't lock properly either. In the morning I took a shower, while in the shower someone started banging on the door and didn't respond to me when I asked them what they wanted. After about 5 minutes of me panicking getting dressed they shouted suggesting the shower was leaking. I wouldn't recommend it as a lone woman but my male friend on the floor above had a nice stay and no noise complaints so maybe I was just unlucky.

   Booked for 4 nights by Garvit at the desk. Super courteous chap. Rooms though small are comfortable with proper heating. Since we were aged he gave us a room on the first floor. Cassandra another person also super helpful. Every time we met these two they always asked if we were comfortable and wanted anything. Hairdryer to extra towels, toiletries etc. Rooms are quiet with no traffic sounds. Walking to Kings X is just 5 minutes.
