I booked a 55-minute pregnancy massage and left extremely disappointed. The actual massage lasted closer to 45 minutes, which is unacceptable given the premium price of £115. Throughout the session, I repeatedly had to ask for more pressure, particularly on my upper back. Despite this, the massage remained far too soft and ineffective, offering little relief. A pregnancy massage should still be therapeutic and tailored to areas of tension, not just light stroking. For the price, I expected a genuinely luxurious and considered experience, but basic details were missing. No eye masks were provided, which is standard at many spas at this price point and would have helped with relaxation. Overall, this did not feel like a premium service, nor did it meet expectations for a specialised pregnancy massage. I would not return and cannot recommend it, especially given the cost.

Just one night for a Christmas Function and couldn't be faulted, lovely attentive staff, oh so cozy in a room and considering the amount of people catered for, an amazing meal, hot and well presented. The breakfast area and the breakfast it's self was perfect, especially after a great night, fingers crossed the boss will book the same thing next year. (didn't use the spa but by all accounts, it was lovely)

I spent a spa day here andcould not be more pleased with my experience. All the staff were very attentive and efficient. I enjoyed my facial and hot stone massage and would like to thank Selina very much. We could choose a lunch from the bar menu to a value of £25 if we didn’t want to choose from the set spa day lunch menu. I went with my daughter for my 60th Birthday treat and would recommend. Such a relaxing place.

Having visited the sister branch at Alexandra Spa, I was expecting a much more luxurious and welcoming experience from Rowhill Grange’s Utopia Spa — especially given the high prices. Unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. When we arrived, the hotel felt quite small and lacked the elegant atmosphere we’ve enjoyed at other locations. Some areas of the spa were out of use, which was disappointing considering it’s promoted as a full luxury experience. The massage treatment itself was just okay — not bad, but certainly not worth £115. I’ve had much better treatments elsewhere for less. The room we upgraded to, described as “super luxury,” was very dated and basic, with nothing particularly luxurious about it. To make matters worse, there was fluff all over the bed when we checked in, which really affected first impressions. The dining experience was also extremely uncomfortable. There were two women making racist remarks toward me and my partner, which completely ruined what was meant to be a relaxing and special birthday stay. Staff didn’t seem to notice or address it, which was deeply disappointing. The only redeeming part of the visit was the sea bass at dinner — it was beautifully cooked and genuinely delicious. Unfortunately, that alone doesn’t justify the cost or the overall poor experience. For over £500 for a one-night spa break, I expected far higher standards — in both service and atmosphere. Sadly, I left feeling disheartened and unwelcome. I really wouldn’t recommend Rowhill Grange at all, and I won’t be returning.

I didn’t stay at the hotel but booked the Stress Away Spa day. Location: the hotel and spa is surrounded by beautiful country, but is still an easy drive from London just off the A2. There’s ample parking and the paths are well lit. It would have been even better if there had been Exit signs to leave as it was very dark and I wasn’t sure of the layout or if there was a one way system. The staff: the staff were incredibly friendly. The first person I met was a young man called Ben who had lovely manners and was very helpful. Upon arrival I was welcomed with my own personal itinerary and asked if I’d like to relax with a complimentary hot drink before heading to the spa. The Spa: the spa is decorated to look Ancient Greek, complete with ‘ruins’, ivy and lizards painted on the walls. Some people might find it tacky but I thought it was fun. There were ample loungers and there was a giant swimming pool sized hot tub which was amazing. You could also order poolside drinks. The sauna was in the ladies changing rooms, which I don’t usually like, but as there were a few rowdy groups (possibly stags and hens?) in the spa it was nice to sit somewhere quiet. The sauna was absolutely tiny - you couldn’t comfortably have more than 2 people in there. The advantage of it being so small is that it was really hot. In the changing rooms they had a great selection of toiletries: eye make up remover, cleanser, toner and moisturiser. There were hair dryers and GHDs. Afternoon tea: staff kept on asking if I was happy with the selection of sandwiches, which hand on heart I should have said that I wasn’t, but I didn’t want to make a fuss (and I’ve got to admit I really didn’t like the egg sandwich- it had a very odd flavour!) I assume that the staff would have changed things if I’d asked them too. It would have been nice to have had a smoked salmon sandwich option. The cakes and scones were amazing with a very generous dollop of clotted cream! As soon as I sat down I was asked if I’d like a Prosecco, which if I hadn’t been driving I would have loved. Treatment: I had the hot stone massage. As part of the package I ordered I had £150 to spend on treatments. There’s no treatments this expensive which means that you can order whatever you want, but then it says ‘you still have credit remaining, would you like to book another treatment?’ And there’s no two treatments that add up to £150 so you need to top it up. Sneaky! The massage was lovely, but it would have been nice if it had lasted the advertised 70 mins instead of 60 minutes. The masseuse had a lovely sense of humour and was very accommodating, my only request would be that she has slightly shorter nails or rounded tips as I kept on getting scratched/ tickled depending on where she was massaging. Overall a fantastic day and I look forward to going back.

Lovely spa day with a friend. This was my second visit here. We loved it the first time so we returned again. I must say that the first visit was better. The afternoon was not fresh on this occasion. The bread tasted like it had been left out and air dried for a bit. This is not what I would expect for afternoon tea standard of sandwiches. Nevertheless the scones and cakes were lovely. The service was good when the staff were there but there was not so much staff this time round so we found ourselves waiting around quite a bit. The spa was lovely as always. The treatment was really good however the lady giving me a facial didn't not ask me anything about my skin other than if I have an allergy. I was not told about products used or given the option to purchase any products. The spa lost out on this because I probably would have purchased something had she have shown me what she used as it felt good on my skin. Overall it was a great day but not as good as my first visit.

Firstly, the staff are lovely and really helpful. However, clearly the energy crisis has had an impact on the provision of facilities. The pool was somewhat cold as was the plunge pool. The room we stayed in was also very cold and we had to ask for a portable heater. Additionally, the restaurant was freezing on the evening we chose to eat and we had to move to the bar area. This was a pity as the food was good. We chose this spa as had previously been to Alexander Spa (which is part of the same group) where the environment and spa were excellent. Sadly, Rowhill Grange did not live up to our expectations and previous experience.

We had the spa day with treatment from Red Letter Day. The day was wonderful throughout. We received a warm welcome and were taken around the facilities. All three of us enjoyed our treatments (back massage or facials), felt relaxed and that great products were used. It felt homely and comfortable to be able to have our afternoon tea in our robes. The waitress (she was new) was very friendly and accommodating. An all round great day.

Finally got to stay at Rowhill Grange hotel only took 3 years (Covid). From the time we arrived the staff all came across very friendly and could not do enough for you. The spa area and treatment was great. As for the evening meal me and the wife both agreed this was one of the best meals we had ever had , fantastic. Would definitely recommend a stay at at Rowhill Grange Hotel.

Great team I stayed with my now girlfriend and the team were the best for helping with making it special. I had a surprise planned to ask my partner to be my girlfriend and the team. Maisie at reception helped to decorate the room while we were at dinner for me to ask when we got back t the room. Sam in the bar was attentive and looked after us while we had dinner and drinks. The room was lovely, as we were celebrating our belated birthdays, we had a plate in the room with happy birthday and a small dessert on there and a complimentary upgrade. Spa was amazing pools were a perfect temp. all round great stay. We can’t wait to come back!!!!!!
