I just came across some social media posts from the owner, Danny Lambo, that I personally found concerning in relation to comments about Jewish identity. I am not Jewish myself, but I still found the tone and content of these posts disappointing and not reflective of the level of professionalism I would expect from a business owner. Based on what I saw, I did not feel comfortable supporting the establishment. Others may feel differently, but for me, I prefer to support businesses whose public communications align with my values, so I cannot recommend this place.

Exotic historic hotel with Victorian vibes. Unfortunately, there is no elevator, so beware if you have large bags or have accessibility issues. The cobblestone walkway on Sussex Gardens street is quite tiring to walk on. If coming from Paddington station, walking on the Main Street is much smoother. Check in is smooth but might be good to have more checks involved - I was only required to fill up a form and no passport or ID was required to check. Also the key to the room had to be returned to the reception every time you left. Ventilation isn’t very ideal but the room was clean. It is also rather dim inside. The bathroom reminded me of ones in a plane, train or boat. The room was well decorated and neat.

Obviously before booking at this hotel I checked the reviews online and they were mixed, but all I can say is what a fantastic hotel it is,Quirky, yes, but for all the right reasons. Sure,it’s like stepping back into time and sure the deco goes back to a far flung era but I’d rather that than your modern Hilton ,very expensive type, modern hotel. It was great, and prices you won’t get anywhere else in London to match,Thanks Pavillion Hotel especially to Norman on the reception, thanks mate.

Pros - Location, friendly staff, clean, cheap. Cons - really small room, small and uncomfortable bed. If you’re just looking for somewhere cheap to lay your head on a night out, this is fine. Staff were really pleasant and the proximity to the station is great. If you have someone with you or are looking for comfort, this probably isn’t it.

This is such a lovely, quirky hotel and I really enjoyed staying here! Really friendly staff and the room was so very different from what was expected. There isn't really any facilities here, but it is London so you can easily find anything you need nearby. So if you are just looking for a fun place to sleep at a very good price I thoroughly recommend The Pavilion. I cannot wait until I am back!

Β£140 for a one night stay in a small, dark, smelly room with an awful, damp mattress, no amenities apart from a bar of soap, a sink in the room but not in the bathroom. Blankets smelled like they're not washed, bathroom wall had stains. Friendly receptionist but refused to accept contactless pay and wanted me to enter chip and pin, which I did but do feel uncomfortable about. Can't leave the hotel with room key, and need to ring to enter the building at night which is odd. Convenient location but you can find a LOT better for that price.

The room had quirky deco, although it was tiny with a small double bed. The taps barely gave much water which did mean that using the bath or shower was almost impossible. The staff were very friendly though and the hotel in general was quite quiet.

Lets say this is probably one of the more interesting rooms I've stayed in. Staff were friendly, the place was clean. It's not a premier Inn.... shower room was functional, we were in the attic which was a tad warm in the summer. No bar, no breakfast but plenty of that to choose from on the doorstep. Great location for Paddington and the tube. I'd recommend it. I need to go back, even if only to experience one of the other rooms on offer...

Outstanding hospitality shown by the host, Harry. Well done for dealing with all those customers coming at you together! The hotel is quirky and full of character. A delightful alternative to boring magnolia chain hotels. I loved the room and the nice art touches were incredible. We would come back for another stay. Easy to find and a short walk from Paddington station. Good value and safe feeling. However, stairs are very steep so no good for anyone with mobility issues if located on the top floor.

Very good price for the quality and location! Room is as you need it, quite clean and very tidy. The location of the hotel is excellent. You won't be able to find another hotel in such close proximity to central London that is as decent as this and so affordable. Breakfast is included which is really nice. I can't believe some people complained about a complimentary breakfast! Some pastries, cereal bars, orange juice etc. Owner is a very nice and friendly chap. Great stay!
