To be honest there is a very cute and nice hotel The staff is sweet... The rooms are exactly what you expect to get when you're getting a small room with a shared bathroom. The stairs are long but you get used to them and the front desk helps you with your luggage.. The maid service cleans your room everyday and it's cute to come back to a perfectly made bed everyday. I would say for the price this was the best hotel. It is right next to Paddington station and I thought it was quite nice to hear faint sounds of the trains everyday they did not keep me up at night at all.... it's also across from a park which is very adorable if you want to stay at a cute London townhouse this is the place.

Cozy hotel in Paddington! Amazing location walkable to the centre but also a big station wirh trains, metros and busses! Our room was on the 4th floor (NO ELEVATOR). Narrow but fine. The room is not very big but everything you need is inside. The beds are also very comfortable. On the 4th floor we already heard the metro, keep in mind that the lowers rooms probably have a lot of metro sounds coming through.

Fantastic location, rooms have been renovated in a very tasteful fashion that is in keeping with the character of the building. My only suggestion would be to get rid of the carpets or at least get new one's put in, as they look a bit tired. I also think the bathrooms could do with a towel rail. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Just had three nights here and it was great! The location was so convenient being so close to Paddington and had all pubs, shops, restaurants right around us. The room was small but very clean and stylish and we had a lovely view facing the park. The whole hotel was very modern and clean with complimentary sparkling water tap in the foyer which I loved! Finally, all the members of staff were so nice! Every single one of them from the reception to cleaners always smiled and said hello to us and were just so helpful. Definitely would stay here again. The only thing I would note which is nothing to do with the hotel is that the closeness to Paddington is definitely felt through the rumblings of the tube, thankfully I’m a heavy sleeper but don’t think this would be good if you’re a light sleeper, I think that would apply to this whole area.

We really enjoyed our stay at this authentic London hotel. It’s perfectly located in the heart of Paddington, close to the station and within walking distance of Hyde Park. The staff were very kind and helpful, especially with keeping our luggage safe. The rooms are small but comfortable, and the bathroom decor is beautiful. A perfect choice for a short stay in London. Thank you!

We stayed at St. Davids for one night in April and thank god we hadn't booked it for longer. I got a room that smelled a lot like cigarette smoke. The kind that does not just go away by opening a window. When I asked the portier if there was anything he could do to accommodate me, as I am a little sensitive to smell, I was very bluntly told that guests are not permitted to smoke in the rooms, and that the room therefore couldn't smell like smoke and that there was nothing he could do. I cannot at all recommend staying at St. Davids hotel, and am so relieved that it was only for one night, as the hotel has a policy to not "under ANY circumstances refund payment once the room is booked".

This place was very close to Paddington Station. I slept well in the bed and the place was very affordable. It was a little warm in our room, but I'd just got back from Iceland, so there's a chance that was on me. All and all, I'd recommend this if you're spending time in London.

Good location but poor customer service, the night shift man was asleep at 4 o’clock when I tried to return to my room. I rang the buzzer no answer then I had to call for him to pick up the phone and open the door, surprisingly he was annoyed at me. I will never come back here or advice anyone to Avoid this hotel.

The place is really old and the carpet dates back to 20 years ago. Some of the stains on the carpet are at least 10 years old. The pictures on the site description do not match the furniture of the rooms at all, which is a collection of mismatched items from a second-hand store. The service personnel are very nice and helpful people, but that does not make up for the fact that the place was never intended to be a hotel. The rooms are cramped and small, and even the private numbers need to use a toilet outside the room. Considering all of this, you could say that the place is really really expensive

This is my usual place to stay when in London either for business or pleasure. Very friendly front of house staff. Accommodation is very comfortable and clean. Great location to explore Central London. If arriving by train at Paddington station only a few minutes walk. It's simply a great place to stay for a night or indeed for longer.
