It is a very simple hotel, but two blocks from Paddington. Outside it is a good building, but inside it is old and simple. It costs half of an Ibis room (that is already a cheap hotel), so don't expect too much. If you wanna save some money, then it is good
I spent 14 days there and I was very comfortable. Breakfast was fine and it is so close to public transport. My room was clean and bathroom was also. I would have liked a fridge in the room to help with expenses as eating out is expensive. Overall I I loved it and would stay there again.
We stayed in a Travelodge, a Premier Inn, a bed and breakfast, and the Alexandra during our trip to England. This was by far the best experience we had. Everything was great, from the location convenient to Paddington, the historic neighborhood, the old charm with modern conveniences, beds, the helpfulness, the breakfast, the cleanliness… etc. I don’t think you can do better in England at this price point. They even let us leave our bags for the day since our flight got in early and we wanted to do some sightseeing before our check in time.
One of the worst experiences in 15 years of traveling worldwide. I would rate it for one star, but added a star for the location and price. The room was given to me is one floor above the ground, no escalator, no one helps to carry the luggage. Nothing special in the room. One level above the street, above services done in the morning for the hotel. Could not sleep at night, even in the early morning, as I am awakened by neighbors ( above and nearby) whom you feel they live with you in the room, very poor sound insulation. Two reception were informed about the issue with no response, one asked me to call him if a was awakened by the noise, the other said he will talk to the neighbors, nothing changed, could not sleep. Very Basic breakfast Plus is proximity to Paddington station(7 minutes) and to Edgware road and the nice area it is located in. Would never repeat this experience.
Honestly, for the price, one CANNOT really complain about this place. Plus, it is stated a 3-star hotel, so dont expect some high class treatment. Overall, the location is amazingly convenient, and the rooms are decent. Toilets very small, but functional. That is enough. Beds clean. ONE issue I have is that the room service never cleaned the floor of the room, which is obvious to me, because the dust and other small stuff on the floor, is always there, every day. (I stayed almost a week!) Also, the walls are super thin, so all your next door neighbours, tourists say, do... can be heard crystal clear. Which is annoying, becos some talk into the wee hours of the night!!! But linen, bedsheets, toilets. OK. Good and clean. Wifi, not that stable, but free... so no complains.
The hotel stay was terrible. I do not recommend anyone to stay here. They brought me a room on the ground floor: The room was noisy, I heard everything - people entering the hotel, noise from the elevator, noise from the lobby and the dining room. The room was small and dirty, there were hairs on the bed, in the shower it took 15 minutes until there was hot water. The lobby had a foul smell. Do not go to this hotel!
The place was exceptional in terms of the price and how close it is to all transportation in the city. The staff and the receptionist Omar were very helpful and courteous. The breakfast was pretty good (you can make a sandwich, grab a croissant, have some cereal, etc). The ladies who serve the breakfast in the morning are very kind. The hotel is also very clean.
I have been to so many hotels but this one seems interesting. Inside it's a bit cozy kind of but the rooms and the maintenance was very much impressed and I loved it. Perfect for night stays and the breakfast is also decently good. Thank you Alxendra Hotels. Budget friendly and close to Paddington Station.
Came over the weekend for a birthday away from home. The rooms were nice, very dated bedsheets but that's just preference. The shower was blocked and the window was broken. The breakfast staff were so rude, especially the older Hispanic lady who was telling people to leave after breakfast had finished and tried taking our plates while we were still eating and would huff and puff when we said no. The hotel front door window was attacked during the night (not sure if this is usual) but over all.. yeah it was okay
Very handy to Paddington Station. Small but clean rooms, comfy beds helpful staff. We didn't try the breakfast, the dining room is downstairs but the hotel is close to a group of cafes that offered outdoor dining. Value for money, we would stay again.
