Everything about this location on the website is fraud. The house is a ruin and the pub is not in service. There is no reception at all and the door codes were not sent to us before arrival. The rooms a dirty and not at all modern as shown on the internet. They only serve cold water.

The hotel is very dirty and unsafe. There's no one in the building. Yesterday, the lock wouldn't open in my room, and I was locked inside for an hour and had a panic attack. Even the window wouldn't open. Then I forced the lock open. There's no hot water in the room, so I couldn't shower. Also, the heater didn't work, and I sat in my coat until morning and felt very cold. I'm sick right now. Please cancel my reservation.

KING CROSS COLLECTIVE BY AURA STAYS is their new name now. I booked through Agoda app and the pictures they posted were very misleading. The place is difficult to find. The building looks like an abandoned building that's waiting to be demolished. It was very dirty. The facilities were horrible and not fit for purpose. There's no staff there. My room was very cold because the radiator/heater didn't work. There was no hot water in the faucet/tap and shower. The small fridge and microwave didn't work. There was no tables or chair. No hooks to hang clothes or wet towels. The sink was very small located in the corner of the toilet. There was a contact number provided but the owner REFUSED to answer any calls and INSISTED on just messaging in WhatsApp. It (gender neutral because didn't hear its voice to determine gender) kept on ignoring the calls and messages. When it messaged back on day 2, it lied saying its "team" will come fix the boiler problem and check out the room's radiator/heater. NO ONE CAME. IT LIED. The 2 nights and days spent in that horribly cold room was torture. I had to book a hotel to transfer and messaged the property owner who ignored my messages (AGAIN) and Agoda for refund. Only then it messaged back after Agoda confronted it. I booked 4 days in that awful hellhole and only got 2 days refunded. AVOID THIS PROPERTY AT ALL COST.

The place looked completely deserted, I booked for a week and cancelled the booking as soon as I arrived, I couldn't even enter the building everything was full of spiders When I went in to see if the inside was okay I saw an abandoned place, garbage on the floor, dust, no one was there Don't book! Not recommended at all A very disturbing and difficult experience

We stayed here in May 2025. A family of 5. My husband booked through booking.com. On arrival, It was nothing like what we saw online. First of all, it was so difficult to locate the place. When we finally got in, we were squashed into a single room. We didn’t expect the room to be that tiny. No table, no chair. We barely had space to place our luggage. The room was infested with ants and rats. We messaged the property managers but no help came through. We could not sleep at all in the last night as this rat kept running about in the room. My kids were frightened. The carpet was dirty. We asked for bathroom floor mat/towel and extra tissue, no one came through. In the 2nd night, someone barged into our room around 4am claiming he’s working for the landlord and did not know the room was occupied. Even though he apologised, we were so frightened! Nice beds, that’s all they got. It was a horrific 2 nights with my family. No, I would not recommend.

Without a doubt the worst ‘hotel’ I have ever had the displeasure of staying at. Staff at the bar were friendly, but not a soul in sight behind the hotel desk for the entirety of our stay. The state of the buildings interior makes it appear as if it has been abandoned for years (broken banisters, mouldy walls and peeling carpets etc.) Room 15 stank of raw sewage to an almost unbearable degree. The shower handles broke off with the slightest touch, although this is probably a blessing in disguise, as bathing in such conditions would almost certainly result in some form of waterborne parasite or disease. The television was the smallest I have ever seen, and was tucked away in the deepest recesses of the damp-ridden ceiling. There was also no remote leaving it completely inoperable. Between the number of sketchy characters roaming the streets at all hours of the night, and the dilapidated halls and rooms, this place is better suited as a horror attraction rather than a hotel. For any soul brave enough to spend the night, don't say I didn’t warn you.

Zero on site staff during our visit (unless they were hiding in the walls). The room was horrific, I've been in morgues that smelt better than the room we had to stay in. The toilet and bathroom STANK of raw sewage and decomposing flesh, the hallway floors were suspiciously sticky. The curtains appeared to be mouldy, the carpet was decrepit and peeling away from the floor. Dust, dirt and other miscellaneous crumbs caked the floor also. Wouldn't recommend exploring the local area as we saw many sketchy/slightly unnerving inhabitants nearby. Stay at this hotel if you want to visit an active biohazard!!

I Really enjoyed my stay, I will be using the hotel again for business trips, good location close to Kings Cross. There is a good cafe next door for all day breakfasts.

This place has been the worst experience I have ever had while travelling in my life. Even though we booked a 7 nights stay 4 months in advance, the receptionist welcomed us telling that our room was not available, and he would provide us another (bigger) room that we had to leave the next day. When we asked the reasons for this, he told he was doing us a favor, implying we shouldn't have complained. Sadly, since the reception was always empty, we couldn't get the keys for the other room in the next morning, and we were forced to go back in the hotel in the afternoon, due to a phone call by said receptionist asking us to get there or the cleaning services would have to move our luggage for us. Sadly, this is just the beginning of a really bad experience. Room was dusty and dirty, with occasional spiders climbing the walls. Room and towel cleanup was on demand, but nowhere stated in the hotel. Wi-Fi hasn't been working for three days straight. The bathroom was the smallest one I've ever had the (un)pleasure to get in; there was no soap to wash yourself. Floor was pretty arched, probably due to water leakage from the bathroom. But this isn't even the worst part of this stay: since everything was so narrow in the bathroom, I accidentally hurt my head with the towel rail, cutting my forehead in the process. A slightly more profound cut would have needed stitches, but I was lucky enough to just realize what was going on and get on my bed to safely lose consciouness there for a good 15 minutes. I'm sorry to say this, but stay away from this place.

York Way is short of pubs, particularly as you walk north, so popped in here on a Friday afternoon for a beer. Bright, airy and with chilled music, albeit slightly loud. Turned out that this was a hotel - didn’t stay, so can’t comment on the accommodation. Staff were very friendly and drinks were reasonably priced. Beers were all lagers and craft, rather than cask. A pleasant experience but probably wouldn’t return.
