I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in London. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, always ready to assist with anything I needed. The location is fantastic, with easy access to public transport, nearby attractions, and plenty of conveniences around. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, making it perfect for a relaxing stay after a long day of exploring the city. Another highlight was the in-house pub, which served delicious food and a good selection of beers. It was a great spot to unwind without even leaving the hotel. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London.

This was a great value place to stay after a night out in London. The beds are triple bunks so you can't sit up in them. The room had a mirror, desk, storage lockers (bring your own padlock) and an opening window. There are two showers which were warm (bring flip flops to wear in the shower). The beds had sheets, a pillow and a duvet on which was nice as some hostels you only get sheets or a blanket. It was warm in the room at the end of November.

As a pub, this place is great. I really liked the beers and the staff was friendly and the food options seemed nice as well. But since I was a hostel guest primarily, I will base my rating on this experience. I stayed in a female dorm for three nights. The hostel in itself was... really not that good. Let's just say the restrooms down in the pub were cleaner than the toilets and wash rooms for the guests - which I found quite dubious. The showers were gross. The general cleanliness really leaves room for improvement. The room was okay and the bed was comfortable. The best part is the location since borough market is just a 3 minute walk. I really wish I could give 3 stars because I always feel bad when giving a bad review but it really wouldn't represent the reality.

I am really sorry but I really have to give you a 1 star. I have stayed in a lot of hostels around the world and these were honestly some of the worst maintained ones. If you are looking for a cheap night then feel free to come here. I was priced out of everywhere else now that they surge prices coming up to weekends and for xmas, so I guess well done for being a cheap option. However the rooms were filthy, I happened to drop something under the bed and wish I hadn’t looked as I don’t think they have ever been cleaned. Pretty sure something ended up biting my hand. The doors to the rooms are soo heavy and loud, even the bathroom one managed to cut my foot open at night. And your bathrooms, please please please do better! There were used tissues all over the floor in one bathroom (glad I didn’t get an infection), and the other bathroom, pretty sure the toilets actually disconnected from the wall as its leaking from underneath. My whole bathroom experience was just to ensure I didn’t touch anything. I think if you fix these issues you are in such a good location and have some really nice staff that this could be such a great hostel. It honestly just needs some tlc. The only good thing about this venue is its attached to a pub downstairs so easy access to a drink and one of your night porters was actually amazing and really helpful. Kudos to him. Please management, do better!!!

We stayed here for two nights. The location is nice, really close to the Borough market and multiple underground stations. The service was good and we enjoyed the pub as well (we did not eat here, but the food options looked nice!). The employees were kind and patient. We had a private room with our own bathroom. The bathroom was really nice. The room was big, but had some flaws. The bed felt like it could sink in at any moment and the blind did not close. The room was quite warm, but there was a fan, which really helped. I think it is a good value for money and I would stay here again (but maybe not for more than 3 days).

Experience great, trying a burger, sure it will be fine. Very busy with lots of happy people. A great place. I am a bit confused as the boss says it's a backpacker hostel. Ok but £164 a night, guess I am out of touch. No criticism (in any bad way) but did not realize it was that costly for people to get a room for the night. All done, this is an excellent place, great fun and friendly. Take a bow!!!

We stayed in The Rose & Crown for four days and we really enjoyed it. The accommodation was clean and even though it was a 9-bed-room we really liked our room. Unfortunately some of the bathrooms weren’t that nice but it was still in an okay state. The food in the pub downstairs was delicious and the atmosphere there was great! The staff was amazing, especially Mark helped us out multiple times, so thanks again for that! To sum up we would definitely come back as the price-performance ratio is excellent, especially for that central area.

Came for lunch and it was great. I ordered the Hen Solo and it was delicious. Not too amused about the names of some of the burgers as it’s disrespectful to the respective religions but freedom of speech aye? The Burger was seasoned well but wish it was bigger! I had some regular fries with it and it was equally as tasty.

Reception is 24hrs. The hostel pub is open 24hrs for guests. The location is good. The staff is friendly. The price is good. The bad news is the rooms are small and not much light, the room was very warm just with one fan. It could be more toilets and be clean more often as it wasn't very clean at all (bad engineering). The towels cost 5 pounds.
