Lisa Are usual lady behind the bar took our order. Stayed extremely calm with me as I ordered as she knows our family really well and knows our orders are complex due to my special needs children lol hats off to her she's amazing. Foods always yummy here and tasty and hot good portions.
Unfortunately when we arrived our booking wasn't on the system, strange as I had received a text reminder earlier in the day but we managed to find a table. A little disappointed that several items were not available to accompany our steak meal, would have been nice to be told out of mushrooms when ordering when our meals came they were missing tomatoes and one was also missing onion rings. Other than that a pleasant experience and we shall return in the new year
Food ok. Went about 430 on a Sunday and had ran out of most of the menu. No steak, garlic bread, pineapple juice, pineapple, chicken and many pizzas. Good came out fast but my main came out before the starter and then my main came out with items missing. Child sausage mash and gravy came without the gravy. Table staff were good but bar staff not very polite. Would not go again.
Popped in today for something to eat. Quick service on food and at the bar. Food was lovely, even got given a spoon for our daughter’s beans. Thank you to Lisa for looking after us.
Marston chain pub,ok for the price.Tomato soup lovely,cauliflower buffalo wings tasty but too expensive for 3!.Cheese and pickle sandwich and fries was mostly pickle and a sprinkle of cheese with a child portion of fries.Could be great but sadly lacking as a few more fries and a bit more cheese for the price wouldn't break the bank.
I can thoroughly recommend going to The Rushley. I work with young adults who have special educational and physical needs. We took two groups out for a drink, to practice money and safety skills. I was honestly so touched by how supportive Ash (bar staff) was. Despite being extremely busy and the only person behind the bar, he never rushed any of us. He showed such kindness and patience and my students had a blast. One of them went away saying that the best part was when Ash gave them their hot chocolate and responded so enthusiastically to a high five. He really made the whole day and we (as staff) all commented on his friendly, supportive and welcoming customer service. Many of the students have asked to go back and that just shows that they felt comfortable, safe and happy. Ash, you were a really big part of creating that environment. P.S. I have been to The Rushley and been served by Ash before (socially - not with students) and he was truly such a nice guy then too. High praise and high fives all around. :)
This is my first time back here, and I am so glad we came back. The pub is lovely and the service was quick, The food choices are really good and they have plenty of deals on. Our food came out quickly and tasted amazing. Would definitely recommend this place.
Nice venue, looks clean and classic at the same time. Good food and drinks. Big car park!
We live in the area and never tried this place before so we thought we'd stop for lunch after our little Sunday walk. It is a lovely place, staff was amazing, so nice and welcoming! Service was quick and food was really good - we will definitely come back!!
