Shocking for such an expensive city centre bar, don't believe the hype, dirty place, if they can't clean the room and the toilet, what are the kitchens like? Hairs and stains all over walls, obviously the fan has never been cleaned... Minging. We won't be back
This is the BEST place ever for cocktails! The guys in here can make anything and they are brilliant! No premixed rubbish here!!! Lovely hidden gem in Leeds. Very intimate and great place to relax with friends. Late opening. My favourite cocktail bar!
This is a little known venue above the amusement shop and opposite the Donna kebab shop, at the start of Call Lane (Leeds Market end). The entrance is via a door front and immediate stairs. There are different featured rooms and capacities. We were in the Highland room which holds around 50 - 100 people depending on sitting or standing. There's a PA system with a tablet you can sign into (Spotify or bring your own iPad or DJ). There's no disco light but a £30 disco light works well to create a small dance floor area. Table tops were available for food (we purchased or own from Costco). There's security on the door but did find a couple of strangers walking in, but they were were lost! (bring a bigger sign with you?) or they were trying for a free sandwich - either way, once challenged, they left without any issues or fuss!!! Staff were plenty-full and we (80 at its peak time) seldom queued for more than 5 mins. All staff and security were friendly and helpful both on the lead up to the day and on the night. There is no lift, but there is a great loading area or drop-off point outside. Taxis frequently pass. Our group easily exceeded the minimum spend. The drinks were average city centre prices, beers were available in bottles only (No draft - in the Highland room. Not sure about the others?) Absolutely love this bar. After walking from the train station and witnessing a mass of stag and hen parties it was incredible to arrive here and be blessed with civilisation. Always somewhere to sit, it has a romantic vibe, dimmed lights etc and the cocktails are absolutely incredible. The best you will find in Leeds.
Popped in for a couple of pre-dinner cocktails. Very chilled atmosphere, friendly staff and very beautifully made, interesting cocktails. I am very keen to return and try the rest of the cocktail menu.
Like a true speakeasy we actually struggled to find the entrance as it was nestled between a few building. Once we found the black door we headed up the staircase to a beautifully candle lit room. Cocktails were wonderful and well made. Atmosphere was very relaxing and staff made us feel welcome. Would recommend this spot as a great date night choice, or with a group of friends for after dinner drinks.
Gorgeous bar, best cocktails in leeds with loads of specials. Lovely staff who know their stuff. Saturdays are so much fun when the DJs on and everyone dances but especially great for a date
Drinks are impressive and atmosphere is great! I'd say it's a perfect place to go with friends for a few drinks, but the music was way too loud. We could barely hear each other so we ended up leaving after 2 drinks. I would try again.. and hope next time it will be more pleasant
The Rojigualda Negroni is now my favourite cocktail. Superb combination of flavours and looks very classy. The staff are amazing, friendly and very knowledgeable. Definitely worth a visit for excellent cocktails
